<div>Imaging Associates is a best in class diagnostic imaging facility managed by the largest radiologist group in Alaska - Alaska Radiology Associates. Imaging Associates has a robust IT infrastructure supporting a Level II Trauma Center - Providence Alaska Medical Center - as well as sites across the state. The PACS Administrator would be reporting to the Director of IT and would be responsible for assisting with implementing, monitoring, and maintaining day-to-day operations of the various IT systems, including Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS), Radiology Information System (RIS), Radiology Voice Recognition Dictation System, Vendor Neutral Archive and any other systems to be used in the practice. 


Will only consider on-site work, no remote option.<ul><li>
Provide maintenance of users and user profiles.
</li><li>Monitor integrations and a list of study-related items between the various IT systems.
</li><li>Assist in the day-to-day technical administration of the PACS, RIS, Radiology Voice Recognition Dictation System, VNA and all other IT systems used in the day to day activities of the imaging centers.
</li><li>Diagnose, analyze, and troubleshoot technical issues and to resolve problems.
</li><li>Provide system training as required.
</li><li>Act as a liaison between IA and the Radiologist group, customer users, and vendors.
</li><li>Effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the general public.
</li><li>Marketing of EMR Integration and VNA platforms.</li><li>
Full responsibility for implementation of EMR and VNA integrations.</li><li>
Perform emergency duty before, during and/or beyond normal work hours in the event of an emergency, crisis situation or disaster (man-made or natural) which may include evenings, weekends or holidays.</li><li>
Take night and weekend call on a rotating schedule.</li><li>
Ability to travel to our three sites located in Anchorage, Eagle River, and Palmer</li></ul><ul><li>
Education: Associates Degree in Computer Science or related computer field. Prefer a Bachelor&rsquo;s degree from four year college or university OR</li><li>
Experience:
<ul><li>Two years of experience with medium to large scale PACS and RIS in the capacity of PACS administrator.</li><li>
Experience with Intelerad PACS preferred, not required</li><li>
Expected to have knowledge of client/server and Graphical User Interface (GUI) concepts and tools, PC-based middleware tools</li><li>
Prefer to also have knowledge of HL7, DICOM and all healthcare integration standards associated with digital imaging.
</li><li>Expected to have proficiency at disaster avoidance and recovery.
</li><li>Expected to be proficient with Microsoft Office, Microsoft Operating Systems, and DICOM integration devices.
</li><li>Expected to have some basic understanding of networking.</li></ul>
</li><li>Other Qualifications: Must be able to demonstrate excellent customer service skills; do multiple tasks with frequent interruptions; and work flexible shifts.
</li><li>Attendance: Regular attendance is a requirement of this position</li><li>
English Language: Must be able to read, write and speak English.</li></ul></div>

Qualifications:
<ul><li>
1+ years experience in a specialty medical practice preferred.</li><li>
Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.</li><li>
Experience with medical pre-authorizations preferred.</li><li>
Experience with multi-line telephone system, personal computers, and other common office equipment required.</li><li>
Working weekends, rotations to our other locations in Anchorage and Eagle River, and regular attendance are absolute requirements of this position.
</li><li>Must be able to read, write and speak English.</li></ul>
Job duties include:
<ul><li>
Patient Scheduling: Accurately schedules all diagnostic procedures performed at the group practice. Explains pre-exam requirements and procedures.</li><li>
Patient Registration: Accurately registers patients calling to schedule diagnostic procedures at the practice. Must be able to perform essential functions of registration.</li><li>
Communications: Answers all incoming calls with a smile. Answers questions, refers calls to proper person or take messages.</li><li>
Customer Service/Reception: Greets patients with a smile and treats each with respect and compassion. Demonstrates excellent customer service skills in all interactions with physicians, patients and practice personnel. Must be able to perform reception functions.</li></ul>
