Some Fluency in Spanish would be a plus.Responsibilities<ul><li>Represent clients in criminal defense cases, including arraignments, trials, plea negotiations, and post-conviction matters</li><li>Manage immigration matters and proceedings with empathy and precision</li><li>Conduct comprehensive legal research using Westlaw, LexisNexis, and other legal research tools to support case strategies</li><li>Draft and review legal documents including pleadings, motions, briefs, settlement agreements, and estate planning documents</li><li>Negotiate settlements and plea deals effectively while maintaining client interests at the forefront</li><li>Prepare for litigation by gathering evidence, interviewing witnesses, and developing case theories</li><li>Stay current on evolving laws in areas such as immigration law, and other relevant fields</li><li>Collaborate with colleagues on complex cases requiring multi-disciplinary expertise</li><li>Maintain meticulous case files and ensure compliance with all procedural requirements</li><li>Provide clear legal advice to clients regarding their rights and options across various practice areas</li></ul>Qualifications<ul><li>Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school with active bar admission in relevant jurisdictions</li><li>Proven experience in criminal defense and family law practice preferred; experience in estate planning or environmental law is a plus</li><li>Strong negotiation skills with the ability to advocate effectively on behalf of clients</li><li>Excellent legal research skills utilizing Westlaw, LexisNexis, and other research platforms</li><li>Exceptional writing skills for drafting pleadings, motions, contracts, and legal correspondence</li><li>Demonstrated ability to manage multiple cases efficiently while maintaining attention to detail</li><li>Familiarity with litigation procedures and courtroom procedures across diverse legal fields</li><li>Knowledge of legal administrative processes including case management systems and document filing protocols</li><li>Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while independently managing caseloads</li></ul>We are committed to fostering a supportive environment where your skills grow alongside our firm&rsquo;s success.
