Immigration Attorney - ENTRY ASSOCIATE

This role offers an exciting opportunity to handle immigration cases.. We seek a motivated, detail-oriented legal professional eager to advocate passionately while honing their skills across multiple practice areas. Your proactive approach and commitment to justice will contribute to our reputation for exceptional legal service and client advocacy. Some Fluency in Spanish would be a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Represent clients in criminal defense cases, including arraignments, trials, plea negotiations, and post-conviction matters
  • Manage immigration matters and proceedings with empathy and precision
  • Conduct comprehensive legal research using Westlaw, LexisNexis, and other legal research tools to support case strategies
  • Draft and review legal documents including pleadings, motions, briefs, settlement agreements, and estate planning documents
  • Negotiate settlements and plea deals effectively while maintaining client interests at the forefront
  • Prepare for litigation by gathering evidence, interviewing witnesses, and developing case theories
  • Stay current on evolving laws in areas such as immigration law, and other relevant fields
  • Collaborate with colleagues on complex cases requiring multi-disciplinary expertise
  • Maintain meticulous case files and ensure compliance with all procedural requirements
  • Provide clear legal advice to clients regarding their rights and options across various practice areas

Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school with active bar admission in relevant jurisdictions
  • Proven experience in criminal defense and family law practice preferred; experience in estate planning or environmental law is a plus
  • Strong negotiation skills with the ability to advocate effectively on behalf of clients
  • Excellent legal research skills utilizing Westlaw, LexisNexis, and other research platforms
  • Exceptional writing skills for drafting pleadings, motions, contracts, and legal correspondence
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple cases efficiently while maintaining attention to detail
  • Familiarity with litigation procedures and courtroom procedures across diverse legal fields
  • Knowledge of legal administrative processes including case management systems and document filing protocols
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while independently managing caseloads
