BookkeeperLocation: Imperial Valley, CA Job Type: Full-Time Salary: $53,000&ndash;$60,000 per year, depending on experienceAbout the OpportunityA well-established company in the Imperial Valley is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Bookkeeper to join its team. The ideal candidate is highly organized, maintains strict confidentiality, and has experience managing day-to-day accounting functions while supporting the overall financial health of the organization.Responsibilities<ul><li>Record daily financial transactions, including sales, purchases, receipts, and payments.</li><li>Maintain and reconcile the general ledger.</li><li>Process accounts payable, including vendor invoices and payments.</li><li>Process accounts receivable, including customer invoicing, collections, and payment posting.</li><li>Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and loan accounts.</li><li>Prepare and process payroll.</li><li>Maintain employee payroll and expense records and process reimbursements.</li><li>Track cash flow and monitor account balances.</li><li>Prepare financial reports, including:</li><li>Profit &amp; Loss Statements</li><li>Balance Sheets</li><li>Cash Flow Reports</li><li>Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing procedures.</li><li>Maintain organized financial records and supporting documentation.</li><li>Prepare information for accountants during tax filings and audits.</li><li>Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable accounting regulations.</li><li>Monitor outstanding invoices and follow up on overdue accounts.</li><li>Maintain fixed asset records and depreciation schedules, when applicable.</li><li>Process sales tax filings and other routine tax reporting.</li><li>Assist with budgeting and financial forecasting by providing accurate financial data.</li></ul>Qualifications &amp; Skills<ul><li>Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field preferred; equivalent work experience will be considered.</li><li>Minimum of 3 years of bookkeeping experience, including payroll processing.</li><li>Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.</li><li>Experience processing payroll and ensuring compliance with applicable payroll laws and regulations.</li><li>Experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar accounting/ERP systems.</li><li>Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the Microsoft Office Suite.</li><li>Excellent mathematical accuracy and analytical skills.</li><li>Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.</li><li>Exceptional organizational, time-management, and multitasking abilities.</li><li>Ability to work independently while effectively managing multiple priorities.</li><li>High level of confidentiality, integrity, and professionalism when handling sensitive financial information.</li><li>Strong verbal and written communication skills.</li><li>Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.</li><li>Dependable, reliable, and committed to meeting deadlines.</li></ul>Benefits<ul><li>Competitive salary based on experience</li><li>Health insurance</li><li>Optional retirement plan</li><li>Flexible work schedule</li><li>Paid time off</li><li>Paid holidays</li><li>Professional and supportive work environment</li><li>Opportunities for professional growth and development</li></ul>How to ApplyIf you are a detail-oriented bookkeeping professional with payroll experience and a passion for maintaining accurate financial records, we encourage you to apply.
