We support our staff the same way we support our apprentices: with high expectations, strong communication, and a team-first mindset.Position SummaryThe Administrative &amp; Purchasing Assistant provides office-wide support and assists with purchasing needs across departments. This role requires excellent communication, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple administrative and procurement tasks simultaneously.Key ResponsibilitiesAdministrative Support- Answer and direct incoming phone calls with professionalism and warmth.- Maintain organized filing systems (digital and physical).- Perform general clerical duties, including scanning, copying, scheduling, and document preparation and review.- Provide support to all staff members as needs arise.- Assist with front desk/reception coverage when required.- Maintain office supplies and coordinate restocking.Purchasing &amp; Material Coordination- Assist with ordering materials, tools, supplies, and equipment.- Track and compare multiple Requests for Quotes (RFQs).- Coordinate delivery schedules and interact with delivery drivers.- Receive, inspect, log, and distribute materials upon arrival.- Maintain accurate inventory records.- Work with vendors to resolve order discrepancies or issues.Required Qualifications- High school diploma or equivalent.- Prior experience ordering materials or supporting procurement workflows.- Ability to track and compare multiple RFQs with accuracy and attention to detail.- Proficiency with the full Microsoft Office Suite.- Experience with SAGE accounting or purchasing systems (or willingness to learn).- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.- Warm, professional communication and a team-oriented attitude.Preferred Qualifications- College degree or extensive industry experience.- Experience in construction, electrical contracting, or a related technical environment.- Experience interacting with vendors, suppliers, and delivery personnel.Work Environment- Administrative setting supporting students, instructors, and leadership.- Frequent interaction with apprentices, visitors, vendors, and delivery drivers.- Collaborative team atmosphere where fun meets accountability, professionalism, and growth.- Focused on a culture of excellence, professionalism, and continuous improvement.Why Join IN-Tech?- Be part of a mission-driven organization shaping the future of the electrical construction industry.- Work in a setting that values professionalism, communication, and teamwork.- Opportunities for growth and development within a strong, supportive culture.- Competitive salary and benefits package.Job Type: Full-timePay: $23.80 - $30.00 per hourBenefits:<ul><li>Dental insurance</li><li>Health insurance</li><li>Paid time off</li><li>Retirement plan</li></ul>Work Location: In person
