We are inviting applications for the position of Lawyer/ Legal Counsel to support our institution&rsquo;s legal and regulatory processes, particularly in obtaining official permissions for archaeological and heritage-related work.Role OverviewThe selected candidate will be responsible for overseeing the institution's legal matters, with a focus on coordinating with government authorities for:<ul><li>Permits and site access approvals</li><li>Legal compliance concerning transport, conservation, and documentation of antiquities</li><li>Drafting, reviewing, and maintaining legal agreements, MoUs, and formal communications</li><li>Ensuring compliance with relevant acts and policies, including the Ancient Monuments and Archaeological Sites and Remains Act, Forest (Conservation) Act, and related heritage laws</li><li>Representing the institution in legal correspondences or proceedings, if necessary</li></ul>Eligibility Criteria<ul><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Law (LL.B.); candidates with a specialization in environmental, heritage, or land-use law will be preferred</li><li>Minimum 3 years of relevant legal experience, preferably with exposure to government procedures and public sector coordination</li><li>Strong understanding of legal frameworks related to archaeology, environment, and cultural heritage</li><li>Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills</li><li>Ability to work independently and liaise effectively with multiple stakeholders</li></ul>Engagement Type<ul><li>Part-time/ Flexible</li></ul>Location: Delhi, India.Job Type: Part-timePay: ₹2,500.00 - ₹5,000.00 per dayBenefits:<ul><li>Flexible schedule</li></ul>Work Location: In person
