You will also play a consulting-led role in client engagements. A typical client engagement will involve recognizing key trends, identifying transformation levers, contributing to next-generation Digital solutions, and facilitating solution blueprint and deployment. You may leverage your expertise in mining industry applications and COTS products along with hands-on experience in automation and process control, planning and scheduling, logistics, EHS, etc. You may serve as an individual domain anchor or lead a team of consultants/ BAs depending on the client program context.Role and Key Responsibilities Market Maker & Executive Engagement This role requires strong business acumen for C-suite interactions, understanding client contexts to deliver technology-led solutions. Responsibilities include conducting client workshops and envisioning sessions, co-selling with sales teams, and collaborating across internal units to deliver cohesive solutions. Key skills include executive presence, presentation abilities, storytelling, collaboration, and continuous learnability. Business/ Functional Expertise <ul><li>Work on client assignments, typically large digital transformation programs, as an SME or domain leader.</li><li>Engage with client business and IT, and Infosys teams throughout IT program phases from planning through solutioning and implementing. Be the bridge between business and technology stakeholders.</li><li>Deep knowledge of mining value chain, mine production systems, EHS, mining COTS applications, automation and related OT.</li><li>Define business/process models using industry best practices; drive workshops to define requirements and elaborate functional specifications of an IT solution.</li><li>Design use cases, lead Functional Architecture, re-engineer process models, and integrate services for end-to-end delivery.</li><li>Review and verify deliverables with the project team and client, ensuring timely completion of projects.</li><li>Maintain and create project documentation (user manuals, functional specifications, project plans, flowcharts, etc.).</li></ul>Sales Pursuits, Thought Leadership and Unit Initiatives<ul><li>Contribute to sales pursuits and market development initiatives, working with sales and account teams. Build comprehensive proposals from inception to submission, owning domain/functional content.</li><li>Drive thought leadership and innovation tracks-industry solutions, partnerships, publications, and speaker events. Include Go-To-Market offerings and authoring white papers.</li></ul>Required Skills & Experience (Mandatory)<ul><li>15+ years of relevant experience as a domain/functional consultant or industry practitioner in mining & metals with sufficient technology skills.</li><li>Extensive experience in at least a few industry functions and underlying software technologies.</li><li>Exploration and surveying, Mine planning and development.</li><li>Mine production and ore transportation, Mineral processing.</li><li>Mine Safety - Underground and open cast.</li><li>Logistics/ Fleet Management.</li><li>Automation & Process Control.</li><li>Experience related to IoT/Industry 4.0/ AI/ GenAI/ ESG in Mining & Metals.</li><li>Ability to work in field-based environments and travel to remote mining sites as needed.</li><li>Analytical thinking and problem-solving expertise.</li><li>Excellent communication and presentation skills.</li></ul>Preferred Skills (Good to Have)<ul><li>Conversant with design-thinking based, agile lightweight approaches (customer personas, journeys, story maps, etc.).</li><li>Global exposure and experience in a multi-cultural environment.</li><li>Experience in Software development lifecycle and Agile methodologies.</li></ul>Educational Qualifications<ul><li>Graduation/Post-Graduation/MBA/MS/MTech/Mining/Geoscience/Processing/Metallurgy or related area from reputed institutes.</li><li>Any relevant certifications/trainings are an added advantage.</li></ul>Personal<ul><li>Strong analytical skills.</li><li>Design thinker with the ability to think out of the box.</li><li>Inquisitiveness to acquire new skills and enhance knowledge.</li><li>Customer orientation.</li><li>Excellent team player.</li><li>Leadership by example.</li></ul>EEO / AccessibilityInfosys is committed to equal opportunity employment.
