Description We have a fantastic opportunity to join our Production Team. We are looking for a Production Operative for our Night shift; Monday to Thursday, 07:30pm - 05:30am! Benefits <ul> <li>Performance Profit Related Bonus (PPRP) - a discretionary bonus of around 8% of salary paid to all permanent employees annually</li> <li>Up to 29 days annual leave</li> <li>5-7.5% pension contribution</li> <li>Private medical cover</li> <li>Life Cover</li> <li>Denplan</li> <li>Income Protection Cover</li> <li>Free use of holiday homes in Tenerife, Padstow and St Ives with subsidised petrol / flight costs.</li> <li>An extensive EAP suite to support health and wellbeing</li> </ul> Duties <ul> <li>Manufacture products on a Right First Time basis whilst following company procedures and observing all Health and Safety requirements.</li> <li>To demonstrate flexibility with regard to operational requirements of the business.</li> <li>Ensure the safety of yourself and others whilst carrying out your duties.</li> <li>Carry out housekeeping activities within timescales relevant to each specific area.</li> <li>To maintain expected cleaning and housekeeping standards of all production areas worked in.</li> <li>Work to 5S standards and promote 5S standards to other colleagues.</li> <li>Identify and inform the management team of quality and maintenance issues when they arise.</li> <li>To strive towards continuous improvement in all activities undertaken.</li> <li>To complete vocational and skills based training as required.</li> <li>Completion of production related administration as required.</li> <li>Ensure that all lifting and manoeuvring of product is carried out in accordance with manual handling procedures.</li> <li>Operate in a safe manner complying with all health, safety and environmental requirements to ensure own and safety of others.</li> <li>Handle any hazardous materials in an appropriate manner.</li> <li>Keep areas of work clean and tidy to ensure operational efficiency.</li> <li>Make recommendations to aid efficiency and add value.</li> <li>Promote good working relationships as an integral part of the team.</li> </ul> Requirements <ul> <li>Ability to plan, organise and anticipate demands relating to works tasks, materials, packaging requirements to optimise production line delivery and to optimise efficiencies.</li> <li>Self-sufficient, able to work well on own initiative and proactively solves problems to deliver targets.</li> <li>Good communication skills and is able to follow instructions and keep production line paperwork up to date.</li> <li>Good understanding of customer deliverables and the impact of failure / cost of poor quality/standards.</li> <li>Work in a safe manner and comply with the Health, Safety and Environmental Policies.</li> <li>Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines.</li> <li>Ability to demonstrate 'right first time' and 5S methodology and standards to drive continuous improvements.</li> <li>Good level of general education.</li> </ul> If this sounds like you, we'd love to hear from you!
