Senior UI/UX Designer who is excited to design intuitive, inclusive, and impactful health tech products that empower health workers and improve patient care.</p></li><li><p><br>
Lead <b>user experience</b> design across mobile and web platforms, prioritizing simplicity, efficiency, and accessibility.</p></li><li><p><b><br>
Strong understanding</b> of design for trust and ethics in AI (transparency, control, explainability), exposure to AI design patterns</p></li><li><p><br>
Design AI-assisted workflows that enhance healthcare delivery &mdash; e.g., AI-driven patient summaries, clinical recommendations, and voice-based input interfaces.</p></li><li><p><br>
Ensure seamless integration of AI components into the overall user experience, emphasizing transparency, explainability, and user trust.</p></li><li><p><br>
Conduct user research and field testing with community health workers and doctors in low-resource settings to inform design decisions.</p></li><li><p><br>
Design for users with low digital literacy &mdash; minimal text, intuitive navigation, iconography, and guided workflows.</p></li><li><p><br>
Design doctor-facing interfaces that reduce cognitive load &mdash; ensuring relevant content is presented with minimal scrolling, minimal clicks, and without unnecessary white space.</p></li><li><p><br>
Develop wireframes, prototypes, and visual designs that align with technical feasibility and medical protocols.</p></li><li><p><br>
Establish and maintain a scalable design system optimized for offline use, low bandwidth, and multilingual accessibility.</p></li><li><p><br>
Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and medical advisors throughout the agile development cycle.</p></li><li><p><br>
Ensure all designs are WCAG-compliant and responsive across various screen sizes and devices.</p></li><li><p><br>
Contribute to a culture of empathy-driven design and iteration.</p></li><li><p><br>
Design for integration of emerging features like AI-enabled decision support, clinical scoring tools, and localized voice interfaces.</p></li></ul><div></div><h3 class="jobSectionHeader"><b><br>
Requirements</b></h3><div><b>
Requirements:</b></div><ul><li><p><br>
6+ years of UI/UX design experience, preferably in digital health, ed-tech, or social impact sectors.</p></li><li><p><br>
Strong portfolio demonstrating ability to design for low-literacy and/or high-pressure user environments.</p></li><li><p><br>
Expert in Figma and familiar with tools like Adobe XD, Sketch, Miro, or equivalent.</p></li><li><p><br>
Experience with Android-first design, progressive disclosure, and mobile usability testing.</p></li><li><p><br>
Demonstrated ability to simplify complex user journeys and reduce visual and cognitive noise.</p></li><li><p><br>
Understanding of accessibility guidelines (WCAG), responsive and inclusive design best practices.</p></li><li><p><br>
Strong communication skills, user empathy, and ability to work in interdisciplinary teams.</p></li><li><p><br>
Bonus: Familiarity with FHIR, OpenMRS, or experience designing for healthcare workers in LMICs.</p></li></ul></div></div></div><p></p>
