<p></p><p>JOB DESCRIPTION:</p>
<p><b>Fire Sprinkler Inspector</b></p>
<p>The Fire Sprinkler Inspector is responsible for testing and inspection of fire and life safety systems including, but not limited to, fire sprinklers and backflow preventers (fire alarm cross-training is a plus). The Inspector will provide accurate and detailed inspections reports, with all proper documentation of improvements and complications and assist in selling IFP services for any identified deficiencies.</p>
<p><b>ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:</b></p>
<ul><li>Ensure customers are serviced at the highest level of satisfaction through quality courteous service, and by applying experience, knowledge and training.</li>
<li>Working knowledge of sprinkler controls, alarm panels, devices and critical components</li>
<li>Perform routine inspections, testing and services of life safety product lines.</li>
<li>Thoroughly complete inspections in a timely manner as scheduled and interface with the Inspection Coordinator to ensure that the customer receives the work per proposed scope.</li>
<li>Willing to coordinate between inspection deficiencies and service required to correct found deficiencies.</li>
<li>Utilizes an online scheduling calendar to receive and understand the individual scheduled tasks, customer locations, and maintain other company documents as required (timesheets, safety audits, etc).</li>
<li>Maintain positive customer relationships and review inspection results with customers.</li>
<li>Turn in required paperwork in a timely manner.</li>
<li>Maintain equipment, supplies and company vehicle (if supplied) in good working order.</li>
<li>Study and learn NFPA standards for the inspection and testing of fire protection systems.</li>
<li>Stay current with code requirements, industry changes, and obtain NICET certifications.</li>
<li>Perform other related duties as assigned.</li>
</ul><p><b>JOB QUALIFICATIONS</b>:</p>
<ul><li>Any trade experience is preferred; at least 2 years' trade experience required.</li>
<li>State of North Carolina or South Carolina certifications required.</li>
<li>NICET Level I, II or III required in water-based test and inspections (dependent on state requirement).</li>
<li>Good verbal / written communication and customer service skills.</li>
<li>Mechanical &amp; math aptitude.</li>
<li>Exceptional computer skills, professional and organized.</li>
<li>Previous experience in the fire protection industry preferred.</li>
<li>Valid state Driver&rsquo;s License required.</li>
<li>Willing to pass post-offer drug screen, reference and background check</li>
</ul><p><b>EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATIONS:</b></p>
<ul><li>High school diploma or equivalent
</li><li>A minimum of 2 years of experience in fire sprinkler inspection testing, maintenance and installation is preferred.</li>
<li>NICET Certification is required
</li></ul><p><b>PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:</b></p>
<ul><li>Regular bending, reaching, climbing and walking.</li>
<li>Mostly a physical demanding role.

<p><b>Fire Protection Design Manager</b></p>
<p>This position is a great opportunity for a Designer that desires to grow within a great industry and company like International Fire Protection. This individual will lead a group of 3 &ndash; 5 fire sprinkler designers by providing knowledge, support, and training. He or she will work closely with the Division Leaders to schedule and coordinate design. This position is responsible for planning and directing the accomplishments of the design department objectives, as well as performing a wide variety of duties required to maintain the efficient, day-to-day operations of direct reports of the department within the office.<br>

<p>The Fire Protection Design Manager should be a self-starter possessing time management, scheduling, staff management and leadership skills and experience. This individual will both perform and oversee the performance of design and coordination for fire sprinkler systems. There will also be growth opportunities through company sponsored leadership development courses and trainings. This individual will also be required to lead by example.</p><br>

<p>ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:</p>
<ul><li>Support a group of 3-5 fire sprinkler designers by providing leadership and training.</li>
<li>Review construction contract documents and coordinate with sub-contractors and General Contractor/owner to gather the required information to design the project&rsquo;s sprinkler system.</li>
<li>Thorough use of analytical thinking and problem solving, determine construction feasibility and systems possibilities.</li>
<li>Create detailed drawings through extensive use of AutoCAD, AutoSprink, or HydraCAD type programs.</li>
<li>Coordinate with other trades using BIM/3D modeling.</li>
<li>Create stock list for all material required throughout the project.</li>
<li>Perform hydraulic calculations.</li>
<li>Develop initial schedules for preliminary project work.</li>
<li>Maintain design historical records for future use.</li>
<li>Develop positive and ongoing relationships with customers to ensure the company is meeting customers&rsquo; expectations.</li>
<li>Coordinate with other departments within the office to ensure proper handover of job information.</li>
<li>Complete other assigned responsibilities as directed by immediate supervisor or other IFP management personnel.</li>
<li>Continually monitor progress of projects; review reports to ensure compliance with schedule and budgetary guidelines.</li>
<li>Assist/lead during field check stage of the project.</li>
<li>Ensure work complies with codes and permits.</li>
<li>Report to the owner and general contractor about progress and any necessary modifications required.</li>
<li>Knowledge of fire alarm and special hazard design is a plus.</li><br>

<p>EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATIONS:</p>
<ul><li>NICET III certification</li>
<li>Five years&rsquo; minimum experience in commercial and industrial design is required.</li>
<li>Residential experience is a plus.</li><br>

<p>JOB QUALIFICATIONS:</p>
<ul><li>Demonstrated ability with AutoCAD, AutoSprink, HydraCAD, or other specialized fire sprinkler layout software.</li>

<li>Proven ability and track record of performing work in a timely manner and meeting deadlines.</li>

<li>Possess good communication skills.</li>
