Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and motivated Machinist to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining various machining equipment and produce high-quality components. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a strong mechanical background and a passion for engineering. The position is paid and suitable for those eager to develop their skills within a dynamic environment.Duties<ul><li>Operate machining equipment including Bridgeport 3 axis milling machines, manual mills, lathes and other hand tools to produce precise components.</li><li>Read and interpret technical drawings to ensure accurate manufacturing.</li><li>Utilise tooling and hand tools to produce and complete parts as needed.</li><li>Apply basic maths skills for measurements, tolerances, and calculations during machining processes.</li><li>Maintain detailed records of work performed and ensure all safety protocols are followed during operations.</li><li>Assist in troubleshooting machine issues and perform routine maintenance to optimise performance.</li></ul>Qualifications<ul><li>Proven experience in programming, machining, with knowledge of milling, turning, and assembly processes.</li><li>Mechanical knowledge with an understanding of tooling, power tools, and hand tools usage.</li><li>Strong organisational skills with the ability to follow technical drawings accurately.</li><li>Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and quality control purposes.</li><li>Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a sub-contract manufacturing environment.</li><li>Relevant qualifications or certifications in mechanical engineering or machining are preferred but not essential.
