CNC Machinist

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Machinist to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining various machining equipment and produce high-quality components. Duties

• Operate machining equipment including Bridgeport 3 axis milling machines, manual mills, lathes and other hand tools to produce precise components.
• Read and interpret technical drawings to ensure accurate manufacturing.
• Utilise tooling and hand tools to produce and complete parts as needed.
• Apply basic maths skills for measurements, tolerances, and calculations during machining processes.
• Maintain detailed records of work performed and ensure all safety protocols are followed during operations.
• Assist in troubleshooting machine issues and perform routine maintenance to optimise performance.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in programming, machining, with knowledge of milling, turning, and assembly processes.
• Mechanical knowledge with an understanding of tooling, power tools, and hand tools usage.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to follow technical drawings accurately.
• Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and quality control purposes.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a sub-contract manufacturing environment.
• Relevant qualifications or certifications in mechanical engineering or machining are preferred but not essential. This role provides an engaging environment for those passionate about precision engineering and manufacturing excellence.
