Role Overview

An established specialist precision engineering business is expanding its small-hole drilling capability and is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to support this growth. The role combines CNC and manual machining, producing extremely high-precision holes for specialist tooling applications, including features as small as 0.02mm.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC and manual machines for small-hole drilling work
• Interpret engineering drawings and specifications for machining and quoting
• Design and manufacture bespoke fixtures and tooling
• Work closely within a skilled, small team to deliver high-accuracy components
• Support continuous improvement and undertake additional CNC-related tasks

Skills & Experience

• Proven experience operating and programming CNC machines
• Competence using manual mills and lathes for tooling and fixture manufacture
• Background or understanding of small-hole drilling or precision engineering
• Strong attention to detail with a patient, methodical working approach
• Confident reading and interpreting technical drawings
