Our commitment to excellence has made us a trusted partner in the industry for over 25 years.Position OverviewTechnical Support and Installation SpecialistThe Technical Support and Installation Specialist is an important part of our team based in Rolling Meadows, IL. Most of your time will be in the field traveling to customer sites performing equipment installations and training end-users. This role is our &ldquo;boots on the ground&rdquo; and responsible for building positive relationships with customers, peers, manufacturers and vendors. This will be done by living out our Company&rsquo;s Purpose and making customer satisfaction and technical performance your priority.This role is full-time based in our Rolling Meadows, IL Corporate Office, 90% travel, 10% in officeKey Responsibilities &middot; Installation of large format printers and associated equipment and software&middot; Training customers on the use of installed equipment&middot; Traveling to customer locations throughout the US&middot; Assist in maintaining our Solutions Center at Rolling Meadows Corporate Office&middot; Proficient in all new technology included in our product offering&middot; Respond to customer inquiries and technical questions in a timely manner&middot; Report installation details to our Operations Teams&middot; Perform demonstrations in our Solutions Center&middot; Create sample prints&middot; Coordination, set up and staff trade shows&middot; Coordinate customer installation dates and details&middot; Create media profiles&middot; Working with Solution Center Manager to ensure all equipment is demo-ready&middot; Create how-to videos&middot; Calibrate printers&middot; Unboxing, set-up and testing equipment&middot; Maintaining a professional appearance at all times&middot; Efficient management and detailed logging of your activity calendar&middot; Continuous learning of new technology&middot; Possessing technical expertise on color management, RIP software and print production workflow&middot; Obtaining certifications on equipment/software IT Supplies will offerPosition Requirements&middot; High School diploma or equivalent&middot; At least 21 years old&middot; Ability to lift and carry at least 75 pounds&middot; Valid driver&rsquo;s license with appropriate insurance&middot; Good driving record maintained throughout employment&middot; Air and/or car travel with overnight stays often&middot; Ability to rent a car and qualify for our corporate auto insurance&middot; Some experience in an installation role or customer servicePhysical Demands:&middot; Ability to lift, carry and and transport heavy equipment, parts and boxes weighing 75+ pounds&middot; Frequent and prolonged standing, walking, bending, stooping and reaching&middot; Frequent travel via car and/or planePreferred Experience and Skills&middot; 3 years of experience in an installation role&middot; College degree in computer or technology field&middot; Experience installing wide format printers&middot; Problem solver and constant learner&middot; Self- motivated and highly organized&middot; knowledge of RIP softwareOur Company and Work EnvironmentOur commitment to our customers is reflected in everything we do.
