Our Personal Injury Receptionist/Paralegal will work closely with clients, attorneys, and other staff members to ensure that all aspects of case management are handled effectively. We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated to join our law firm. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in answering calls, opening new case files, communicating with clients and insurance companies to open new case files.Qualifications<ul><li>Minimum 1-3 years experience in Personal Injury law</li><li>Ability to manage workload, juggle multiple activities, and work under pressure in a fast-paced office setting with a positive attitude</li><li>Excellent secretarial and organization skills</li><li>Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, have attention to detail, and interact well with clients</li><li>Ability to work independently and as part of a team</li><li>Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)</li><li>Case management experience from intake and pre-litigation</li><li>Paralegal certificate from an accredited program, a plus but not required</li><li>Fluency in Spanish a plus</li></ul>Responsibilities<ul><li>Familiarity with plaintiff&rsquo;s personal injury pre-litigation in all phases of case opening</li><li>Contact Insurance companies to get claim numbers and open new claims.</li><li>Prepare and submit PIP applications and submit new claim forms.</li><li>Communicate professionally and effectively with clients, insurance adjusters, medical offices, and more</li><li>Obtain/document outstanding medical, Medicare, WC, and other liens</li><li>Organize client file, track progress, and communicate with clients</li><li>Manage and maintain new case files, ensuring materials are organized, accessible, and up to date with regular client contact</li><li>Maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards of the legal profession in all interactions and tasks</li></ul>Benefits<ul><li>Competitive salary commensurate with experience</li><li>Comprehensive benefits package including health insurance</li><li>Professional development opportunities</li><li>Collaborative and supportive work environment</li><li>Paid sick time</li><li>Paid time off</li></ul>Equal Opportunity Employer: Our firm is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, or any other characteristic protected by law.
