<h1 class="jobSectionHeader">POSITION SUMMARY:</h1>
Jaunt seeks a mission-driven and creative MarketingCommunications Manager to lead brand storytelling and community engagement across all service lines. This role develops and implements strategies that promote awareness, strengthen public trust, and highlight the impact of Jaunt's transportation services. The ideal candidate is both strategic and hands-on, able to craft compelling narratives, manage digital platforms, and ensure consistent, high-quality messaging across all audiences.
<h1 class="jobSectionHeader">SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:</h1>
MessagingStrategy<ul><li>
Lead and maintain messaging framework across all service lines and communication channels</li><li>
Serve as brand guardian, ensuring alignment in tone, visuals, and messaging across platforms</li><li>
Support leadership in public-facing messaging (press, public meetings, funding partners)</li></ul>
StorytellingCampaigns<ul><li>
Develop and lead storytelling initiatives that showcase Jaunt's mission and community impact</li><li>
Source and elevate authentic stories from riders, employees, and partners</li><li>
Collaborate with creative vendors, photographers, and videographers to bring stories to life through multimedia campaigns</li></ul>
Content OversightEditing<ul><li>
Write, edit, and manage content across digital and print (website, social media, email, brochures, signage, etc.)</li><li>
Coordinate the design and production of creative assets in collaboration with external vendors</li><li>
Ensure consistency and timely delivery of internal and external communications</li></ul>
Digital Engagement<ul><li>
Manage social media channels and overall digital marketing strategy</li><li>
Develop content calendars, grow engagement, monitor analytics, and grow online engagement</li><li>
Coordinate paid promotions or digital ad campaigns as needed</li><li>
Oversee website updates in coordination with internal teams or external vendors</li></ul>
Internal Coordination<ul><li>
Serve as communications liaison across departments to align key messages between operations, planning and leadership</li><li>
Act as primary point of contact for consultants, creative vendors, and media partners</li><li>
Participate in cross-functional meetings to identify communication opportunities and organizational priorities</li></ul><h1 class="jobSectionHeader">
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS:</h1><ul><li>
Based in the Charlottesville area; hybrid work schedules will be considered
</li><li>Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills</li><li>
Experience managing creative vendors, contractors, or agencies</li><li>
Strong project management and organizational skills; ability to manage multiple priorities</li><li>
Passion for community engagement, transportation, or public service</li><li>
Familiarity with digital tools- i.e.: Mailchimp, Canva, Microsoft Teams, Adobe Creative Suite, etc.
</li><li>Experience managing social media content and advertising
</li><li>Spanish language proficiency a plus</li></ul>
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE<ul><li>
Bachelor's degree in communication, marketing, or equivalent professional experience required.
</li><li>5+ years of experience in communications, strategic marketing, or public affairs preferred
</li></ul>SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
Employment is contingent upon successfully completing and passing a pre-employment drug screen. Employment is contingent on a clean driving record that allows employee to be covered by Jaunt's insurance. Continued employment is contingent upon adherence to Jaunt's Substance Abuse Policy, as well as on maintaining a clean driving record.
