The Estimator is responsible for assessing residential and commercial HVAC and electrical projects to produce accurate, competitive cost estimates. This role splits time between conducting on-site field evaluations and performing in-office calculations, blueprint reviews, and proposal development.<ul><li>Job Type: Full-Time</li><li>Pay Range: $25.00 &ndash; $30.00 per hour</li><li>Location: Staunton, VA (On-site &amp; In-office)</li></ul>Key ResponsibilitiesOn-Site Field Operations<ul><li>Visit customer locations to evaluate project requirements and constraints.</li><li>Take precise measurements and document existing field conditions.</li><li>Consult with property owners and general contractors to understand their project vision.</li></ul>In-Office Analysis &amp; Estimation<ul><li>Perform material take-offs from architectural blueprints and mechanical drawings.</li><li>Calculate total project costs including labor, materials, equipment rentals, and permits.</li><li>Utilize estimating software to generate formalized, itemized client proposals.</li></ul>Collaboration &amp; Communication<ul><li>Coordinate with project managers and field technicians to verify labor timelines.</li><li>Present and explain completed estimates clearly to clients to secure contracts.</li><li>Monitor industry material costs to maintain profitable and competitive corporate bidding.</li></ul>Qualifications &amp; Skills<ul><li>Experience: Proven experience in construction estimating; specific HVAC or electrical estimation is highly preferred.</li><li>Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of HVAC systems, electrical components, and structural building codes.</li><li>Math &amp; Analytical Skills: Exceptional analytical capability to calculate margins, material volume, and labor hours.</li><li>Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills with a strong customer-service mindset.</li><li>Licensing: Valid driver's license with a clean, insurable driving record for company travel.</li></ul>Benefits &amp; Compensation<ul><li>Competitive hourly pay ($25.00 - $30.00/hr)</li><li>Dental insurance</li><li>Vision insurance</li><li>Life insurance</li><li>Paid Time Off (PTO)</li><li>Career growth opportunities within a fast-expanding local company</li></ul>Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hourBenefits:<ul><li>Dental insurance</li><li>Fuel reimbursement</li><li>Life insurance</li><li>Paid time off</li><li>Vision insurance</li></ul>Work Location: In person
