HR/Labor Relations Supervisor
RESPONSIBILITIES<ul><li>
Responsible for labor relations with local union, administration of the collective bargaining agreement and the grievance process.
</li><li>Provides facility supervision with advice and counsel on personnel issues.
</li><li>Administers unemployment claims, attends unemployment hearings.
</li><li>Ensures regulatory compliance with ADA, FMLA, EEOC, etc. Stays current on recent federal, state and case law changes and monitors labor law updates for changes that affect HR.
</li><li>Proposes, publishes and administers personnel policies.
</li><li>Administers all employee relations issues. Processes and implements formal disciplinary action of employees, initiates termination procedures and terminates employees as needed.
</li><li>Prepares and maintains records and procedures for controlling personnel transactions and reporting personnel data. Maintains HRIS integrity.
</li><li>Responds to any questions and/or requests by governmental agencies, including employee complaints. Represents the company at hearings.
</li><li>Establishes, evaluates and maintains departmental reports and key indicators. Recommends new approaches, policies and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of department and services performed.</li><li>
Directs local benefits administration, enrollment and open enrollment meetings.
</li><li>Supervises staff of HR employees.
</li><li>Responsible for internal company communication, including bulletin boards, company newsletter, etc.
</li><li>Performs other duties as assigned
</li><li>Must be able to work overtime and weekends.</li></ul>
QUALIFICATIONS:<ul><li>
Prior experience in unionized environment required</li><li>
2-3 years&rsquo; experience in meat processing or other manufacturing setting</li><li>
Strong communication and public speaking skills</li><li>
Bilingual skills preferred</li></ul>

Planning/Organizing - ability to prioritize and plan work activities; use time effectively and develop realistic action plan</li><li>
Detail-oriented &ndash; ability to ensure we have proper details and training documentations upon making decisions</li></ul> 
The applicant who fills this position will be eligible for the following compensation and benefits:<ul><li>

Paid Time off: sick leave, vacation and 6 company observed holidays;</li><li>
401(k): eligible after the 1st day of employment including company match which begins after the first year of service and follows the company vesting schedule</li><li>
Base salary range of $58,800 - $72,345</li><li>
This position is eligible to participate in the Company&rsquo;s annual bonus plan; the amount of bonus varies and is subject to the standard terms and conditions of the incentive program;</li></ul>
