 Jennings Mechanical is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in Orangeburg, SC. This full-time, on-site position will be responsible for managing the company&rsquo;s accounts payable process, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices, and supporting the accounting team.

 Key Responsibilities

 Review, code, and process vendor invoices in a timely manner

 Match invoices with purchase orders and receiving documentation
 
 
 
 
 
 </li>
 <li>
 
 
 
 
 
 Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies
 
 
 
 
 
 </li>
 <li>
 
 
 
 
 
 Maintain accurate and organized accounts payable records
 
 
 
 
 
 </li>
 <li>
 
 
 
 
 
 Communicate with vendors regarding payment status and inquiries
 
 
 
 
 
 </li>
 <li>
 
 
 
 
 
 Assist with month-end closing procedures
 
 
 
 
 
 </li>
 <li>
 
 
 
 
 
 Issue purchase orders upon request from field personnel
 
 
 
 
 
 </li>
 <li>
 
 
 
 
 
 Support project managers and operations team with invoice tracking and job cost allocations
 
 
 
 
 
 </li>
 <li>
 
 
 
 
 
 Ensure compliance with company policies and internal controls
 
 
 
 
 
 </li>

 Qualifications
 
 
 
 
 
 <ul>

 2+ years of accounts payable or general accounting experience (construction industry experience preferred)
 
 
 
 
 
 </li>
 <li>
 
 
 
 
 
 Strong understanding of invoice processing and general accounting principles
 
 
 
 
 
 </li>
 <li>
 
 
 
 
 
 Experience with accounting software (Sage, Viewpoint, or similar systems preferred)
 
 
 
 
 
 </li>
 <li>
 
 
 
 
 
 Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suite
 
 
 
 
 
 </li>
 <li>
 
 
 
 
 
 High level of accuracy and attention to detail
 
 
 
 
 
 </li>
 <li>
 
 
 
 
 
 Strong organizational and time management skills
