Job description:We are seeking a Senior Accountant to join our remote team and play a pivotal role in supporting our nonprofit clients. The ideal candidate will have extensive nonprofit accounting experience, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines for various clients.<ul><li>Position Type: Full-Time, Exempt</li><li>Salary: $75,000&ndash;$80,000 annually</li><li>Work Hours: 9:00 AM &ndash; 6:00 PM EST, with flexible scheduling options available upon approval.</li></ul>Key Responsibilities<ul><li>Maintain accurate accounting records in compliance with GAAP.</li><li>Manage deposits, billing, and monitor Accounts Receivable aging.</li><li>Process expenditures, bill payments, and monitor Accounts Payable aging.</li><li>Handle grant management, ensuring proper income and expense allocation.</li><li>Prepare month-end financial reports, including reconciliations and GL maintenance.</li><li>Process payroll and manage payroll changes.</li><li>Generate cash flow reports and assist with budget preparations.</li><li>Support 990 preparations and assist with audit schedules and compliance reports.</li><li>Process year-end reports, including 1099 filings and AP/AR cutoffs.</li><li>Provide guidance to clients on Chart of Accounts, Classes, and Departments for reporting ease.</li><li>Build and maintain strong client relationships.</li></ul>Qualifications<ul><li>Education: Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Accounting, Business, or a related field (Required).</li><li>Experience:</li><li>5&ndash;7 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience (Required).</li><li>Proficiency in QuickBooks Desktop and QuickBooks Online (Preferred).</li><li>Experience with Sage Intacct (Preferred).</li><li>Familiarity with nonprofit operations (Preferred).</li><li>Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy.</li><li>Excellent communication skills and reliability.</li><li>Ability to adapt to a remote work environment with a stable internet connection and a quiet workspace.</li><li>Successful completion of a background check.</li></ul>Benefits<ul><li>401(k) with matching contributions</li><li>Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance</li><li>Disability insurance</li><li>Paid time off</li><li>Flexible work schedule</li></ul>Schedule<ul><li>Monday to Friday, 9am to 6pm ET</li><li>Day shifts, with occasional evenings and weekends as assigned</li></ul>Job Type: Full-timeEducation:<ul><li>Bachelor's (Required)</li></ul>Experience:<ul><li>GAAP: 5 years (Required)</li></ul>Work Location: RemotePay: $75,000.00 - $80,000.00 per yearBenefits:<ul><li>401(k)</li><li>Dental insurance</li><li>Disability insurance</li><li>Health insurance</li><li>Paid time off</li><li>Vision insurance</li></ul>Application Question(s):<ul><li>What is the highest level of education you have completed?</li><li>Do you have Experience with QBO and/or QB Desktop?</li><li>DO you have experience with Sage Intacct?</li><li>Have you performed full cycle accounting?
