(Website: www.jivikaagri.com)Position OverviewThe Procurement Manager will support the Purchase Head in managing the procurement activities for inventory, raw materials (basic and specialty), machinery, and capital equipment. The role focuses on supplier management, cost optimization, ensuring material availability, and adherence to quality standards. The Purchase Manager will play a critical role in executing procurement plans, maintaining vendor relationships, and supporting operational requirements in alignment with company goals.Key Responsibilities1. Procurement Execution&middot; Assist in sourcing and procurement of raw materials such as whole spices, ground spices, blend spices, seasonings, and oil inputs.&middot; Ensure timely purchase of packaging material, inventory and machinery to meet production schedules.&middot; Coordinate with vendors to finalize rates, lead times, and delivery schedules.2. Vendor Relationship &amp; Development&middot; Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and service providers.&middot; Identify new vendors for critical categories and support evaluation processes.&middot; Monitor supplier performance, resolve supply issues, and ensure compliance with agreed terms.3. Cost Management &amp; Negotiation&middot; Assist in negotiating prices, payment terms, and long-term agreements.&middot; Identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.&middot; Monitor market trends and pricing to support strategic purchasing decisions.4. Quality &amp; Compliance&middot; Work closely with QA/QC teams to ensure raw materials meet required specifications.&middot; Ensure all procurement processes comply with internal policies, industry regulations, and food safety standards.&middot; Maintain proper documentation and records for audits and reporting.5. Inventory &amp; Planning Support&middot; Support inventory planning to ensure optimal stock levels are maintained without overstocking.&middot; Collaborate with production and planning teams to forecast material requirements and procurement schedules.6. Reporting &amp; Documentation&middot; Prepare purchase reports, supplier evaluation reports, and cost analysis as required by the Purchase Head.&middot; Ensure proper documentation for purchase orders, contracts, and invoices.7. The role involves purchase coordination, vendor follow-ups, documentation, inventory support, and ensuring timely availability of raw materials, packaging, and consumables required for smooth operations.Key Responsibilities1. Purchase Coordination<ul><li>Assist in procurement of raw materials such as whole spices, ground spices, blended spices, seasonings, edible oil inputs, and other consumables.</li><li>Raise and process Purchase Requisitions (PRs) and Purchase Orders (POs) as per approved requirements.</li><li>Coordinate with vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials.</li></ul>2. Vendor Coordination &amp; Follow-ups<ul><li>Maintain vendor database and assist in onboarding new suppliers.</li><li>Follow up with suppliers for quotations, order confirmations, dispatch details, and delivery schedules.</li><li>Coordinate with logistics and stores team for receipt of materials.</li></ul>3. Documentation &amp; Compliance<ul><li>Maintain proper documentation for purchase orders, invoices, GRNs, contracts, and vendor records.</li><li>Ensure all purchase documents are accurate and comply with internal policies.</li><li>Support audits by maintaining organized procurement records.</li></ul>4. Inventory &amp; Store Support<ul><li>Coordinate with stores and production teams to monitor inventory levels.</li><li>Assist in tracking stock movement and reporting shortages or excess inventory.</li><li>Support inventory planning to avoid stock-outs and production delays.</li></ul>5. Quality &amp; Coordination<ul><li>Coordinate with QA/QC team to ensure material specifications are met.</li><li>Assist in resolving quantity, quality, or delivery-related issues with suppliers.</li></ul>6. Reporting &amp; MIS<ul><li>Prepare basic procurement reports, purchase trackers, and vendor follow-up reports.</li><li>Support Procurement Manager in cost tracking and data analysis.</li></ul>7.
