Job title: Project Designer &ndash; Land Planning &amp; Site DevelopmentLocation: Richmond, VA (Onsite)Position OverviewWe are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Project Designer to support land planning, site development, and civil engineering projects. This on-site role is ideal for an early-career professional (0&ndash;5 years of experience) eager to build technical expertise within a collaborative design environment. You will work closely with project managers, engineers, and planners to develop design documents and perform technical analyses for residential, commercial, and mixed-use developments.Key Responsibilities- Assist in the preparation of site plans, grading plans, utility layouts, and roadway alignments.- Support feasibility studies and conceptual design layouts.- Perform basic engineering calculations for stormwater management, grading, and site utilities.- Prepare and maintain drawings using AutoCAD Civil 3D.- Coordinate with team members to meet project standards and schedules.- Assist with permit applications and responses to agency review comments.- Participate in project meetings and manage documentation.- Conduct site visits and field investigations as required.Expertise In- Land planning and site development fundamentals.- Site grading, drainage, and stormwater concepts.- Utility and roadway layout design.- AutoCAD Civil 3D drafting and workflows.- Permitting and regulatory support processes.Qualifications- Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Civil Engineering, Land Planning, Environmental Engineering, or a related discipline.- 0&ndash;5 years of experience in land development or site engineering.- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D (required).- Familiarity with site development principles (grading, drainage, utilities).- Basic understanding of local zoning and land use regulations (preferred).- Strong organizational and communication skills.- A desire to grow under the mentorship of senior engineers.Pay: $75,808.13 - $140,000.00 per yearWork Location: In person
