Join our Human Resources team as a Payroll Specialist, where you&rsquo;ll play a critical role in supporting our employees and advancing our mission of service and inclusion.In this role, you&rsquo;ll manage and process multi‑state payrolls, ensure compliance with tax and employment regulations, and serve as a trusted partner across HR, Finance, and Leadership. If you love combining numbers, systems, and people skills&mdash;and take pride in confidentiality and precision&mdash;this could be the perfect fit.What You&rsquo;ll DoAs a Payroll Specialist, you will:<ul><li>Process and review semi‑monthly, multi‑state payrolls with accuracy and timeliness</li><li>Ensure payroll cycles comply with all federal, state, and local regulations</li><li>Manage payroll data in Paycor, including employee records, schedules, deductions, and benefits</li><li>Partner closely with HR and Finance to ensure accurate timecard processing and reporting</li><li>Process garnishments, wage assignments, and wage verifications in compliance with legal requirements</li><li>Audit payroll and timekeeping records and resolve discrepancies</li><li>Prepare final paychecks for terminated employees</li><li>Generate recurring and ad hoc payroll reports</li><li>Assist with off‑cycle payments, adjustments, refunds, and direct deposit reissues</li><li>Support monthly audits between payroll and accounting systems</li><li>Maintain the highest level of confidentiality, professionalism, and accuracy</li><li>Complete all required training and education in a timely manner</li><li>Take on additional responsibilities as needed to support the team</li></ul>What We&rsquo;re Looking ForEducation &amp; Experience<ul><li>Associate degree or certificate in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent payroll experience</li><li>Experience processing multi‑state payrolls</li><li>Strong understanding of payroll laws, tax regulations, and compliance</li><li>Prior clerical or office support experience</li><li>Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) or Paycor certification a plus</li></ul>Technical Skills<ul><li>Paycor payroll expertise strongly preferred</li><li>Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams</li><li>Experience with HRIS, payroll systems, and database management</li></ul>Professional Skills<ul><li>Exceptional attention to detail and problem‑solving abilities</li><li>Ability to multitask, manage deadlines, and work with urgency</li><li>Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills</li><li>Ability to work both independently and collaboratively</li><li>Open to feedback, flexible, and highly organized</li></ul>Our Values &amp; CultureWe are committed to respecting and advocating for the rights and dignity of people with developmental disabilities.
