We&rsquo;re expanding our services to include on-site scrap processing and demolition across the U.S., with a focus on railcar dismantling and industrial metal recycling.Job SummaryWe&rsquo;re looking for a skilled and motivated Heavy Equipment Operator / Traveling Scrap Processing Supervisor. This position combines equipment operation in our local yards with occasional travel to customer sites across the country to lead field scrap processing jobs.Responsibilities<ul><li>Operate heavy equipment (especially excavators) for scrap handling and processing</li><li>Operate or learn to operate mobile shear attachments</li><li>Supervise torch cutting crews and coordinate daily site operations</li><li>Manage fuel and cutting gas usage, consumables, and site safety</li><li>Communicate with home office regarding project progress and logistics</li><li>Load railcars and trucks with prepared scrap</li><li>Assist in yard operations when not traveling</li></ul>Qualifications<ul><li>Experience operating excavators or similar heavy equipment required</li><li>Experience with mobile shears preferred (training available)</li><li>Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills</li><li>Willingness to travel several times per year for short-term projects (typically 1&ndash;2 weeks)</li><li>Valid driver&rsquo;s license required (CDL a plus)</li><li>Safety-first mindset</li></ul>Compensation &amp; Benefits<ul><li>Base salary plus significant job-based bonuses (based on project size, distance, and performance)</li><li>Pay commensurate with experience and skill level</li><li>Paid travel, lodging, and per diem for field work</li><li>Year-round, full-time employment</li><li>Benefits package (health, retirement, etc.)</li><li>Advancement opportunities in a growing company</li></ul>Ideal CandidateYou&rsquo;re a dependable operator who enjoys a mix of hands-on work and leadership.
