We're looking for a kind, reliable, and engaging person to join a busy family on the water in San Rafael as a live-in household assistant. This is an opportunity to live in a beautiful, sun-filled home while supporting an active family of five.How it works: You pay $1,000/month in rent at the start of each month. In return, you're guaranteed a minimum of 20 hours of work per week at $40/hour &mdash; enough to cover rent by month's end. This setup is designed for someone who wants a flexible, low-overhead lifestyle witha sense of purpose built in.Students, educators, caregivers, veterans, and young professionals are especially encouraged to apply.About the home and host: Our host is a busy family of five that includes a toddler and senior dog. The family is incredibly active and can often be found driving from one activity to the next. They are looking for someone who loves kids and has the time, energy, and capacity to help them stay organized.Ideally you are: Energetic and warm with a lot of flexibility in your schedule to support the busy ebb and flow of an active household. Ideally you are someone who loves kids and can grow to become a part of the family.Qualities we love:<ul><li>Responsive, adaptable, and consistent &mdash; able to handle complex schedules and last-minute changes with ease</li><li>Highly trusted with kids, including driving.</li><li>Flexible with hours during family travel &mdash; willing to shift minimum hours during family travel</li><li>Tidy, proactive, and good at anticipating needs</li><li>Good with dogs</li></ul>Key qualification: Must be available Mon-Fri from 3:30pm-6:30pm to assist with taking the kids to/from activities.
