This position plays a vital role in supporting our Purchasing Directors with daily purchasing operations, vendor communication, and order processing. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, handle multiple priorities with ease, and take pride in accuracy and follow-through.Key Responsibilities over time<ul><li>Diligently tracking invenotry for reordering</li><li>Assist multiple Purchasing Directors in creating and managing purchase orders</li><li>Correct data entry</li><li>Communicate with vendors via email, phone, or in person to obtain quotes, confirm orders, and follow up on deliveries</li><li>Reconcile bills and verify pricing and quantities for accuracy</li><li>Maintain precise and organized purchasing records, history, and documentation</li><li>Track order statuses and proactively address any discrepancies or delays</li><li>Support general purchasing department operations as needed</li><li>Participate in a hands-on training period at our sales counter to gain product and operational knowledge</li><li>Assist customers in person or over the phone during training&mdash;creating orders, answering questions, and learning product details</li></ul>Qualifications<ul><li>Exceptional organizational skills and strong attention to detail&mdash;precision is essential</li><li>Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, and interpersonal)</li><li>Ability to multitask effectively across multiple projects and supervisors</li><li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook) and general computer skills</li><li>Prior purchasing, administrative, or customer service experience preferred</li><li>Positive attitude, reliability, and willingness to learn</li></ul>Job Type: Full-timePay: $24.00 - $48.00 per hourExpected hours: 40 per weekBenefits:<ul><li>401(k)</li><li>Health insurance</li><li>Paid time off</li><li>Retirement plan</li></ul>Ability to Commute:<ul><li>Glassboro, NJ 08028 (Required)</li></ul>Work Location: In person
