This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to grow professionally within a thriving dental practice committed to excellence.Responsibilities<ul><li>Assist dentists during a wide range of procedures including restorative, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry, utilizing four-handed dentistry techniques for efficiency.</li><li>Prepare treatment areas with proper aseptic technique, ensuring all instruments and materials are sterile and ready for use.</li><li>Take and develop high-quality dental X-rays and medical imaging, including 3D scans, while adhering to HIPAA regulations to protect patient privacy.</li><li>Manage electronic medical records (EMR systems) such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Epic, accurately documenting treatment notes, medical history, vital signs, and dental terminology.</li><li>Perform chairside assisting duties such as taking vital signs, medical documentation, and assisting with medical coding when necessary.</li><li>Support the dental receptionist by scheduling appointments, verifying insurance information, and managing patient flow efficiently.</li><li>Maintain infection control protocols and ensure all clinical areas meet OSHA standards for safety and cleanliness.</li><li>Educate patients on oral health practices and post-treatment care to promote ongoing wellness.</li></ul>Experience<ul><li>Prior experience working in a general dentistry or setting is preferred.</li><li>Proficiency with EMR systems like Dentrix is highly desirable.</li><li>Knowledge of HIPAA regulations, infection control procedures, and aseptic techniques is essential.</li><li>Familiarity with dental terminology, medical terminology, and medical records management enhances your effectiveness in this role.</li><li>Experience performing X-ray procedures, including digital imaging and 3D scanning technology.</li><li>Background in chairside assisting with a focus on four-handed dentistry practices.</li><li>Understanding of dental specialties such as prosthodontics and endodontics is a plus.
