Job Overview Leading 90-year-old, New York Metal Fabrication Company is seeking a Purchasing Assistant/AP supportJob Responsibilities:Support a busy, fast paced, 90 year-old manufacturer/fabricator with the acquisition of material and supplies and accounts payable support.Job Duties:<ul><li>Purchasing from existing vendors/suppliers</li><li>Running daily and weekly reorder advice reports</li><li>Verifying pricing on existing items and reviewing acknowledgements for accuracy</li><li>Expediting open orders</li><li>Review inventory reports and understand the impact of purchasing on inventory</li><li>Entry of receiving documents and verifying against purchase orders</li><li>Set up new suppliers in the computer system</li><li>Support and back-up of Accounts Payable</li><li>Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor</li></ul>Qualifications:<ul><li>High School Graduate or Equivalent (Associates Degree a Plus)</li><li>Previous experience with purchasing or related office skills</li><li>Strong organizational skills and attention to detail</li><li>Ability to learn and use our in-house software</li><li>Competent with Excel and other MS Office programs</li><li>Excellent communication skills</li><li>US Work Authorization (Required)</li></ul>Job Type: Full-timePay: $26.00 - $30.00 per hourBenefits:<ul><li>Health insurance</li><li>Paid time off</li><li>Parental leave</li></ul>Work Location: In person
