Job Overview
Leading 90-year-old, New York Metal Fabrication Company is seeking a Purchasing Assistant/AP support

Job Responsibilities:

Support a busy, fast paced, 90 year-old manufacturer/fabricator with the acquisition of material and supplies and accounts payable support.

Job Duties:

  • Purchasing from existing vendors/suppliers
  • Running daily and weekly reorder advice reports
  • Verifying pricing on existing items and reviewing acknowledgements for accuracy
  • Expediting open orders
  • Review inventory reports and understand the impact of purchasing on inventory
  • Entry of receiving documents and verifying against purchase orders
  • Set up new suppliers in the computer system
  • Support and back-up of Accounts Payable
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor

Qualifications:

  • High School Graduate or Equivalent (Associates Degree a Plus)
  • Previous experience with purchasing or related office skills
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to learn and use our in-house software
  • Competent with Excel and other MS Office programs
  • Excellent communication skills
  • US Work Authorization (Required)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $26.00 - $30.00 per hour
