Patient Access RepresentativeJob Description: As a Patient Access Representative (Front Desk), you will be responsible for signing patients in, obtaining all paperwork, verifying insurance eligibility and copay information, collecting payment, and assisting patients with billing questions.Responsibilities:<ul><li>Obtain HIPAA and HIPAA Consent forms and able to assist patients/parents with any questions pertaining to HIPAA</li><li>Verify insurance, private and Medicaid, for eligibility and copay information</li><li>Collect copays and account balances, and accurately dictate your money intake</li><li>Transcribe patient information into DocuTap with accuracy</li><li>Maintain a clean and presentable waiting room and front desk area</li><li>Scan reports into patient files</li><li>Answering patient/parent questions in person and on the phone</li><li>Clinic location</li><li>What we can and cannot see</li><li>In- and out-of-network insurances accepted</li><li>Copay, EOB, deductibles</li><li>Complete daily cleaning duties</li><li>Additional comparable duties may be required that are within the employee's capacity</li></ul>Requirements:<ul><li>Must be fluent in English and preferably Spanish</li><li>Preferably at least one year experience with insurance collections</li><li>Must have high school diploma or equivalent, or bachelor&rsquo;s degree</li><li>Must be willing to cross train to Patient Care Technician and work occasional shifts as needed</li><li>Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work</li><li>Social perceptiveness and service oriented</li><li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills</li><li>BLS certified or willing to become certified</li><li>Must be willing to work weekends and holidays</li><li>Minimum requirement of 1 summer and 1 winter holiday</li><li>Minimum requirement of 1 weekend and 1 weekday on call shift each month</li><li>Must be able to lift 25 lbs.</li><li>Will be exposed to multiple differed communicable diseases including COVID during each shift. Proper PPE will be provided.</li><li>Must be willing to float between all locations if necessary</li></ul>Patient Care TechnicianJob Description:As a patient care tech (PCT) you will be responsible for assisting with obtaining patient vital signs, collecting samples and perform testing, and preparing patients for exams.Responsibilities:<ul><li>Obtain accurate vital signs and weights, document appropriately</li><li>Assist during medical examinations and/or procedures</li><li>Transport patients via wheelchair</li><li>Ensure patient rooms are clean and sanitized</li><li>Prepare and clean treatment rooms and medical instruments</li><li>Take specimens and accurately perform routine lab tests, including COVID-19</li><li>Prepare and send off cultures to be tested</li><li>Prepare patients for x-ray</li><li>Assist with hospital transfers</li><li>Place orthopedic splints</li><li>Perform some administrative duties</li><li>Answering patient/parent questions in person and on the phone</li><li>Clinic location</li><li>What we can and cannot see</li><li>In- and out-of-network insurances accepted</li></ul>Requirements:<ul><li>Must be fluent in English and preferably Spanish</li><li>Must have at least one year of prior experience, preferably in pediatrics</li><li>High school diploma or equivalent required</li><li>Associate&rsquo;s Degree or higher preferred</li><li>Must be willing to cross train to front desk position and work occasional shifts as needed</li><li>Knowledge of medical office management systems and procedures</li><li>Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work</li><li>Social perceptiveness and service oriented</li><li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills</li><li>Strong organizational and planning skills</li><li>Familiarity with electronic medical health care record systems</li><li>Basic understanding of patient care, medical terminology, coding procedures, reference tools, and appropriate clinical pharmacology for medical assistant scope of practice</li><li>Must be willing to work weekends and holidays</li><li>Minimum requirement of 1 summer holiday and 1 winter holiday</li><li>Minimum requirement of 1 weekend and 1 weekday on call shift each month</li><li>Must be able to lift 25 lbs.</li><li>Additional comparable duties may be required that are within the employee's capacity.</li><li>Will be exposed to multiple differed communicable diseases including COVID during each shift.
