Job description:Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and professional Front Desk Receptionist to join our fabulous team . The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for patients and visitors, providing exceptional customer service while managing various administrative tasks in a fast-paced medical environment. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a thorough understanding of medical terminology and office procedures.Duties<ul><li>Greet patients and visitors warmly, ensuring a friendly and welcoming atmosphere.</li><li>Manage multi-line phone systems, answering calls promptly and directing them to appropriate staff members.</li><li>Schedule appointments and manage the clinic calendar efficiently.</li><li>Verify patient insurance information and handle insurance verification processes.</li><li>Maintain accurate patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.</li><li>Assist with medical billing and coding, including CPT coding, ICD-9, and ICD-10.</li><li>Handle medical collections as necessary while maintaining professionalism.</li><li>Process patient intake forms and ensure all necessary information is collected.</li><li>Provide clerical support including filing, typing, and managing correspondence.</li><li>Collaborate with healthcare providers to facilitate care plans and ensure smooth operations within the clinic.</li></ul>Qualifications<ul><li>Previous experience in a medical office or clinic setting is preferred.</li><li>Familiarity with medical terminology, insurance processes, and health information management is essential.</li><li>Proficiency in using EMR systems such as Epic, Meditech, Athenahealth, eClinicalWorks; experience with Curve is a plus.</li><li>Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite; typing skills are required (10 key typing experience preferred).</li><li>Excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills to effectively communicate with patients and staff.</li><li>Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply to enhance patient communication.</li><li>Knowledge of medical coding practices (ICD coding) is beneficial.</li><li>Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a busy environment.</li><li>Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for documentation review.
