 About the Role
 
 
 We&rsquo;re looking for a hands-on&nbsp;
 
 IT &amp; Operational Technology (OT) Support Specialist
 
 &nbsp;to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you&rsquo;ll be the go-to expert supporting both traditional IT systems and shop-floor technology ensuring our production environment stays connected, secure, and efficient.
 
 
 
 
 
 Key Responsibilities
 
 
 
 IT Infrastructure &amp; Network Support
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Provide daily support for computers, industrial PCs, printers, and handheld devices across the plant.
 </li>
 <li>
 Troubleshoot and maintain network equipment (routers, switches, access points) to ensure stable connectivity in fabrication areas.
 </li>
 <li>
 Support plant servers, backup systems, and local data storage in collaboration with corporate IT.
 </li>
 </ul>
 
 
 Shop-Floor Systems &amp; Operational Technology
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Support and maintain HMI terminals, SCADA systems, CNC machines, PLC workstations, and fabrication-specific software.
 </li>
 <li>
 Partner with maintenance and engineering teams to ensure OT systems are networked, secure, and operating with minimal downtime.
 </li>
 <li>
 Assist in integrating machine monitoring and production data systems.
 </li>
 </ul>
 
 
 Cybersecurity &amp; Data Protection
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Implement and monitor security best practices across IT and OT environments.
 </li>
 <li>
 Ensure compliance with policies on endpoint protection, data backup, and disaster recovery.
 </li>
 <li>
 Monitor network traffic and logs to identify and respond to potential threats.
 </li>
 </ul>
 
 
 Software Administration
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Install, configure, and maintain software for design, production, and operations (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, nesting, ERP/MRP, etc.).
 </li>
 <li>
 Manage Active Directory users, group policies, and role-based access controls.
 </li>
 </ul>
 
 
 IT Project Support
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Support digital transformation and Industry 4.0 initiatives across the plant.
 </li>
 <li>
 Maintain documentation, configuration details, and asset inventories.
 </li>
 <li>
 Provide user training and promote IT best practices across departments.
 </li>
 </ul>
 
 Qualifications &amp; Skills
 
 
 
 Required:
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
 </li>
 <li>
 3&ndash;5 years of IT support experience, ideally in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
 </li>
 <li>
 Strong troubleshooting skills in hardware, networking, and industrial software.
 </li>
 <li>
 Familiarity with CNC machines, PLC/HMI interfaces, or SCADA systems.
 </li>
 <li>
 Understanding of cybersecurity principles for industrial settings.
 </li>
 </ul>
 
 
 Preferred:
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Experience with&nbsp;
 
 Fortinet Firewalls
 
 .
 </li>
 <li>
 Industry certifications (CompTIA Network+, Security+, Microsoft, or Cisco).
 </li>
 <li>
 Experience with&nbsp;
 
 CAD/fabrication software
 
 &nbsp;(AutoCAD, SolidCAM, SigmaNEST).
 </li>
 <li>
 Knowledge of ruggedized industrial devices and machine network integration.
 
 </li>
 </ul>
