Overview We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Cashier/Customer Service representative to join our team. This role is essential in providing exceptional customer service while efficiently handling transactions and maintaining a positive shopping experience for our customers. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a friendly demeanor, and the ability to multitask.Duties<ul><li>Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system to process customer transactions accurately and efficiently.</li><li>Provide outstanding customer service by greeting customers, answering inquiries, and assisting with product selections.</li><li>Handle cash transactions and maintain accurate cash handling procedures.</li><li>Engage in upselling techniques to promote store products and enhance sales opportunities.</li><li>Assist with merchandising efforts by ensuring product displays are appealing and well-stocked.</li><li>Perform stocking duties to replenish shelves and maintain inventory levels.</li><li>Conduct product demonstrations to educate customers about new items or promotions.</li><li>Supervise junior staff members as needed, providing guidance and support during shifts.</li><li>Maintain cleanliness and organization at the cashier area and throughout the store.</li></ul>Skills<ul><li>Proficient in operating POS systems and handling cash transactions.</li><li>Previous supervising experience is a plus, demonstrating leadership abilities.</li><li>Experience with product demos to effectively communicate product benefits to customers.</li><li>Bilingual skills are highly desirable for better customer engagement.</li><li>Strong phone etiquette for handling customer inquiries over the phone.</li><li>Ability to upsell products effectively while maintaining customer satisfaction.</li><li>Knowledge of merchandising principles to enhance product visibility and sales.</li><li>Retail sales experience, particularly in a grocery store setting, is preferred.</li><li>Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and transaction processing.</li><li>Excellent communication skills to interact positively with customers and team members.</li><li>Familiarity with retail math concepts for inventory management and sales analysis.
