Kathy Andrews Interiors is seeking talented, motivated and well-organized candidates for the position of Design Assistant in the Multi-Family Division.DESIGN ASSISTANT ROLEThe Design Assistant will work as part of a team creating award-winning multi-family residential project interiors at a variety of price points for projects located throughout the US. Duties will include, but not be limited to, assisting multiple Project Managers simultaneously with all aspects of taking multi-family amenity/common area building(s) and model unit(s) conceptual designs and bringing them to life. Such tasks include assisting with creating FF&amp;E presentations; sourcing materials; procuring merchandise; order follow-up; maintaining project files and budgets; interacting with other departments, clients and vendors; maintaining multiple deadlines; occasional onsite installations; preparing documentation for client billing; and the availability for limited travel within the U.S. This is a growth position which can lead to a Project Manager role for the exceptional and successful Design Assistant. No phone calls or walk-ins will be accepted.Desired Skills &amp; Experience:The most qualified candidates will possess the following skills and experience:Bachelor Degree in Interior Design from a CIDA accredited design program *required*Interior Design industry experience of 2 years or more preferredMicrosoft Office Suite with mid-level skills or better in PowerpointAdobe PhotoshopAutoCad AEC (Revit skills in addition to AutoCad preferred)Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detailAbility to multi-task and meet competing project deadlinesExcellent verbal and written communication skillsThrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a professional and cooperative team-focused approach to tasksOur design firm is located in Houston, Texas in the Kirby Drive/610 area.
