Our nationally recognized interior design firm, providing services to the Multi-Family and Single Family design/build/development industries, has an opportunity for a talented design professional to become part of the award-winning team. Kathy Andrews Interiors is seeking talented, motivated and well-organized candidates for the position of Design Assistant in the Multi-Family Division.
DESIGN ASSISTANT ROLE
The Design Assistant will work as part of a team creating award-winning multi-family residential project interiors at a variety of price points for projects located throughout the US. Duties will include, but not be limited to, assisting multiple Project Managers simultaneously with all aspects of taking multi-family amenity/common area building(s) and model unit(s) conceptual designs and bringing them to life. Such tasks include assisting with creating FF&E presentations; sourcing materials; procuring merchandise; order follow-up; maintaining project files and budgets; interacting with other departments, clients and vendors; maintaining multiple deadlines; occasional onsite installations; preparing documentation for client billing; and the availability for limited travel within the U.S. This is a growth position which can lead to a Project Manager role for the exceptional and successful Design Assistant.

Desired Skills & Experience:
The most qualified candidates will possess the following skills and experience:
Bachelor Degree in Interior Design from a CIDA accredited design program *required*
Interior Design industry experience of 2 years or more preferred
Microsoft Office Suite with mid-level skills or better in Powerpoint
Adobe Photoshop
AutoCad AEC (Revit skills in addition to AutoCad preferred)
Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to multi-task and meet competing project deadlines
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a professional and cooperative team-focused approach to tasks
