Responsibilities: - Greet and welcome patients in a friendly and professional manner - Check-in and check-out patients, ensuring accuracy of information and providing necessary assistance . Verify insurance and contact information.-Set up patient appointments, give pts follow up card for appt - collect payment from patients, including past due payments - Answer phone calls from patients; give messages to doctor; relay lab results to patients- call insurances and pharmacies-Enter medications as prescribed by doctor into md toolbox-faxing and copying records ; filing records- occasional help in back office needed in case of absence for rooming pts and taking vital signs-Familiarity with prior authorizations for medications required- Familiarity with EDD and disability a plusQUALIFICATIONS: --ma required-dependability and reliability required-Previous experience in a front desk role in medical office preferred - Knowledge and experience in prior authorizations preferred - Excellent communication skills and phone etiquette - Strong problem-solving abilities and ability to handle difficult situations with professionalism - Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively - Strong attention to detail and accuracy - Ability to work well in a team environment - Ability to work well with people neededNOTE: Salary dependent upon experience in the medical field as a medical assistant .This position offers opportunities for career growth within the medical industry.
