If you&rsquo;re the paralegal people trust when the timeline is tight and the stakes are high, you&rsquo;ll thrive here.This startup provides a ground&#8209;floor opportunity to shape systems, elevate client experiences, and grow with a firm that believes great process is an act of care.Why You&rsquo;ll Love This Role<ul><li>Real impact: Your work directly influences outcomes for Arizona families&mdash;and the future of our firm.</li><li>Build something: Help design workflows, templates, and playbooks that make matters move.</li><li>Work with purpose: We keep clients informed, calm, and confident at every step.</li><li>Learn fast: Collaborate daily with two attorneys and see the full arc of family law matters&mdash;from intake to final orders.</li></ul>What You&rsquo;ll Do (the work you&rsquo;ll own)Client Care &amp; Case Momentum<ul><li>Serve as a primary point of contact for clients&mdash;set expectations, provide updates, and keep matters moving with empathy and precision.</li><li>Manage case calendars, deadlines, and task lists; anticipate next steps and clear roadblocks before they appear.</li></ul>Documents that persuade<ul><li>Draft, proof, and format pleadings, motions, disclosures, discovery requests/responses, affidavits, settlement agreements, and professional correspondence for attorney review.</li><li>Build and maintain clean templates and checklists for repeatable quality.</li></ul>Courts, rules, and filings<ul><li>E&#8209;file and file in person as needed; ensure compliance with Arizona Law and Superior Court requirements.</li><li>Track service, docket activity, and procedural deadlines with disciplined follow&#8209;through.</li></ul>Discovery &amp; evidence<ul><li>Prepare Disclosures and discovery responses/supplements for attorney review.</li><li>Organize document productions; index exhibits and maintain witness and exhibit lists for hearings, mediation, and trial.</li><li>Review, summarize, and flag key issues from opposing party&rsquo;s disclosures and discovery.</li></ul>Hearing &amp; trial support<ul><li>Schedule and coordinate depositions, mediations, hearings, and client meetings.</li><li>Assemble hearing binders and trial notebooks; support attorneys in court as needed.</li></ul>Operations &amp; billing<ul><li>Record billable time accurately; support monthly billing and matter budgeting.</li><li>Contribute to building office systems and SOPs as the firm scales.</li></ul>What You Bring (how you&rsquo;ll succeed here)<ul><li>Experience: 2+ years as a family law (or civil litigation) paralegal in Arizona.</li><li>Know&#8209;how: Working knowledge of Arizona family law procedures, civil litigation, and local court rules.</li><li>Tools: Proficiency with Microsoft 365 and a case management system (Clio or MyCase).</li><li>Communication: Clear, professional writing; steady, respectful client communication&mdash;especially under pressure.</li><li>Organization: Meticulous attention to detail; ability to prioritize and juggle multiple matters without dropping the ball.</li><li>Judgment: You ask questions early, own your work, and deliver reliable results.</li></ul>Nice to Have<ul><li>Bilingual (Spanish) skills.</li><li>Experience mentoring legal assistants or fellow paralegals; interest in building training materials.</li><li>Prior team&#8209;lead or supervisory experience.</li><li>Notary Public (or willingness to obtain).</li></ul>The Nuts &amp; Bolts<ul><li>Hours: Monday&ndash;Friday, 8:00 a.m. &ndash; 5:00 p.m.; occasional overtime to meet client or court deadlines.</li><li>Environment: On&#8209;site for first 90-days; Hybrid thereafter; We are in Phoenix with a collaborative, startup feel.</li><li>Compensation: $55,000 &ndash; $70,000 DOE.</li></ul>How We HireA straightforward process: application &rarr; initial 20-minute telephonic or virtual meet and greet with staff &rarr; in-person conversation with our attorneys &rarr; offer.Ready to be the calm in the storm?
