Originally founded in Scotland, Kelvin Cooperage has proudly operated from Louisville, Kentucky since 1991.Position SummaryKelvin Cooperage is seeking a reliable and skilled Maintenance Technician to help ensure our facilities and production environment remain safe, functional, and well-maintained. This role performs routine, preventive, and emergency maintenance across building systems and barrel-making machinery. The ideal candidate is versatile, safety-focused, and comfortable troubleshooting a wide range of maintenance issues in an industrial setting.Key Responsibilities<ul><li>Perform routine and preventive maintenance through regular inspections of buildings, equipment, and grounds</li><li>Respond promptly to maintenance work orders, diagnosing issues and completing repairs efficiently</li><li>Conduct basic mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC maintenance and repairs</li><li>Support maintenance and repair of barrel-making and production equipment</li><li>Maintain inventory of tools, equipment, and maintenance supplies; coordinate vendor orders as needed</li><li>Follow all company safety policies and OSHA standards; ensure safety systems remain operational</li><li>Document all maintenance activities accurately using work order systems or maintenance logs</li><li>Develop and follow standard maintenance and repair procedures</li><li>Coordinate with internal maintenance staff and external contractors for complex repairs or projects</li><li>Perform other duties as assigned to support operations</li></ul>Education &amp; Experience<ul><li>High school diploma or GED required</li><li>Minimum of 3 years of experience in industrial maintenance or a related field</li></ul>Core Competencies<ul><li>Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems</li><li>Proficient with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment</li><li>Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills</li><li>High attention to detail and accuracy in documentation</li><li>Effective written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills</li></ul>Physical &amp; Schedule Requirements<ul><li>Ability to lift up to 50 pounds</li><li>Ability to work an early shift from 4:30 AM to 1:00 PM EST</li><li>Occasional overtime or weekend work may be required based on production needs</li></ul>Additional Requirements<ul><li>Must be eligible to work in the United States</li></ul>Equal Opportunity EmployerKelvin Cooperage is an equal opportunity employer.
