Position Summary

Kelvin Cooperage is seeking a reliable and skilled Maintenance Technician to help ensure our facilities and production environment remain safe, functional, and well-maintained. This role performs routine, preventive, and emergency maintenance across building systems and barrel-making machinery. The ideal candidate is versatile, safety-focused, and comfortable troubleshooting a wide range of maintenance issues in an industrial setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine and preventive maintenance through regular inspections of buildings, equipment, and grounds
• Respond promptly to maintenance work orders, diagnosing issues and completing repairs efficiently
• Conduct basic mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC maintenance and repairs
• Support maintenance and repair of barrel-making and production equipment
• Maintain inventory of tools, equipment, and maintenance supplies; coordinate vendor orders as needed
• Follow all company safety policies and OSHA standards; ensure safety systems remain operational
• Document all maintenance activities accurately using work order systems or maintenance logs
• Develop and follow standard maintenance and repair procedures
• Coordinate with internal maintenance staff and external contractors for complex repairs or projects
• Perform other duties as assigned to support operations

Education & Experience

• High school diploma or GED required
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in industrial maintenance or a related field

Core Competencies

• Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems
• Proficient with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• High attention to detail and accuracy in documentation
• Effective written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills

Physical & Schedule Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to work an early shift from 4:30 AM to 1:00 PM EST
• Occasional overtime or weekend work may be required based on production needs

Pay: $31.25 - $36.05 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
