<div>KENL INN JOB DESCRIPTION

Position: Dog Hiker &ndash; Summer Part Time AM Shift

Pay: $15.00, plus Departmental Tips 


GENERAL FUNCTIONS 


Kenl Inn Trail Companion/Dog Hiker for early morning hikes on a part-time basis during the summer. Reports to Kennel Supervisor and General Manager, for proper direction, interpretation, and evaluation.
Maintains and guarantees KENL INN, INC. quality and safety standards. 


ESSENTIAL DUTIES &amp; RESPONSIBILITIES 
<ul><li>Transfers pets between quarters before and after the hike.</li>
<li>Maintains hiking closet, hiking equipment, and other KENL INN property as assigned</li>
<li>Hikes with pets and summarizes activity on forms provided for pet</li>
<li>Observes safety / security procedures, determines appropriate action beyond guidelines, and reports</li>
</ul>
potentially unsafe conditions.
<ul>
<li>Reports to Supervisor about any deviation from training and scheduling.</li>
<li>Performs related work as</li></ul> 


REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES
<ul>
<li>This is a physical job, must be able to manage / control dogs that are between 20 lbs. and 120 lbs.</li>
<li>Applicants must be accountable, responsible, dependable, and flexible to work at Kenl Inn.</li>
<li>Ability to communicate effectively and professionally both orally and in writing</li>
<li>Ability to maintain positive working relationships with all employees and departments</li>
<li>Ability to apply common sense and understanding to conduct detailed (but uninvolved)</li>
</ul>
 written or oral instructions.
<ul>
<li>Must be able to work independently, under pressure meeting company timelines.</li>
<li>Knowledge of KENL INN Code of Ethics, Pet Care Code of Ethics, KENL INN policy, law, and ability to implement principals and regulations within job duties and</li>

<li>Ability to accept feedback and contribute to building a positive team spirit</li></ul> 
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
<ul>
<li>Must be 17 years of age or older</li></ul> 


NECESSARY SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS 

<ul>
<li>Ability to work early morning shifts, 7 am to 12 noon, depending on the number of dogs holidays and weekends when required</li>
<li>Transportation to and from work</li>
<li>Team Player</li></ul> 


Schedule:
<ul>
<li>4-to-6-hour shifts, any day of week, weekends, and holidays</li></ul></div>
