<p><b>Basic Function:</b></p>
<p>To enhance student learning and academic success through the creation of a community environment that supports the overall development of students; to oversee the daily operation of a multi-unit or large single unit residence hall. Reports to Assistant Director for Residential Communities or designated supervisor.</p>

<p><b>Examples of Duties:</b></p>
<p><b>Duties/essential functions may include, but not be limited to, the following:</b></p>
<p>
Train, supervise, and evaluate paraprofessional staff and a Graduate Assistant.</p>
<p>
Assist and advise students in matters related to academic support, crisis intervention, referral, programming, discipline, routine conflicts, personal development, and leadership opportunities.</p>
<p>
Advise the hall council including matters of budget, policy, and programming.</p>
<p>
Implement a variety of initiatives and activities that address the needs of students in a diverse living-learning environment.</p>
<p>
Provide on-going training and staff professional development for student staff.</p>
<p>
Assist with the advising and teaching of an undergraduate leadership course.</p>
<p>
Participate in and attend student staff training programs, selection processes and other programs sponsored by the residential community area and/or department.</p>
<p>
Support, implement, enforce, and interpret University policies and procedures.</p>
<p>
Assist with recruitment and retention presentations and programs for current and prospective students and parents.</p>
<p>
Maintain office hours and on-call coverage to provide assistance to students and staff.</p>
<p>
Assume leadership and/or participate on departmental committees and task forces.</p>
<p>
Attend required residential community meetings, training, and professional development programs.</p>
<p>
Regularly attend and participate in professional development opportunities in the form of conferences, regional meetings, trainings and events.</p>
<p>
Initiate, support, and collaborate in the creation and ongoing administration of living-learning programs and other academic initiatives.</p>
<p>
Coordinate and supervise timely completion of all appropriate paperwork and reports including, but not limited to student conduct processes, academic initiatives, programming paperwork, room condition reports, weekly reports, no-show information, staffing changes, and room/hall changes.</p>
<p>
Fulfill all responsibilities associated with the opening and closing of the residence hall in accordance with outlined or communicated procedures and instructions.</p>
<p>
Assist with establishing goals and priorities for the Department of Residence Services.</p>
<p>
Fulfill responsibilities for collateral assignments as outlined by supervisors throughout the year and during break periods (e.g., assistance with other offices, preparation for fall and winter training and various recruitment efforts).</p>
<p>
Provide coordination of the following over the summer: conferences, Destination Kent State (new student orientation), break housing, as well as preparing for the year.</p>
<p>
Serve as the communication link with students and other areas of the department and university.</p>
<p>
Assume additional responsibilities and perform special tasks as assigned. Examples include: admissions events, large educational programs, service programs, etc.</p>

<p><b>Minimum Qualifications:</b></p>
<div><p>Master&rsquo;s degree in Student Personnel, Counseling, Higher Education, or a relevant field. A minimum of one year experience in housing or other relevant experience. Must be able to work non-traditional hours. Must live in on-campus apartment for the duration of the assignment.</p>

<p>Serve as a key conduit of information and collaboration to ensure that donor-based scholarships and KSU Foundation funds are utilized according to the wishes of the donors which enhances the donors' trust, confidence and affinity for Kent State University. Manage systems for creation of donor agreements. Reports to Senior Director, Donor Engagement.</p>

<p><b>Duties/essential functions may include, but not be limited to, the following:</b></p>

Oversee and manage the development, approval, routing and tracking of all donor agreements.</p>
<p>
Manage pricing, agreements, inventory and tracking of all naming opportunities across the university, in partnership with Office of University Architect.</p>
<p>
Prepare naming opportunity documents for Kent State University Board of Trustees approval, including drafting resolutions, information items and other donor communications.</p>
<p>
Request, review and analyze endowment data to write, draft and produce annual endowment reports and respond to related donor questions.</p>
<p>
Prepare fund stewardship reports for college/unit leadership.</p>
<p>
Initiate and manage processes to strategically analyze KSU Foundation funds, with careful attention to underutilized funds.</p>
<p>
Review and update KSU Foundation funds to ensure compliance with all legal requirements.</p>
<p>
Serve as the liaison with the University Office of Scholarships and Financial Aid to ensure donor intent is honored and to monitor fund usage and unspent balances.</p>
<p>
In partnership with the KSU Foundation, conduct an annual review of all Founders Scholarships and provide a report to the University Office of Scholarships and Financial Aid detailing new scholarships available for award, along with criteria and balances.</p>
<p>
Develop and facilitate a training program for scholarship administrators across the university system, incorporating content from the KSU Foundation and the University Office of Scholarships and Financial Aid.</p>
<p>
Address questions and concerns related to donor engagement and stewardship.</p>
<p>
Provide direct supervision of unclassified staff.</p>
<p>
Perform related duties as assigned.</p>

<p><b>Minimum Qualifications:</b></p>
<p>Bachelor&rsquo;s Degree in business, marketing, communications, education or a relevant field is required. Four years of progressively responsible donor relations, stewardship, or related experience is required. Must be able to occasionally work evenings and weekends. *NOTE - part time (50%) experience would need to be doubled.</p>

Or</p>
<p>
A combination of education, training and experience equivalent to eight years of progressively responsible experience in donor relations, stewardship or related experience. Must be able to occasionally work evenings and weekends.</p>
