We are a growing accounting firm serving small and mid-sized businesses, seeking an experienced, detail-oriented, and personable Staff Accountant to join our team.Key Responsibilities<ul><li>Reconcile bank and credit card accounts and perform month-end close process for multiple clients.</li><li>Prepare financial statements, supporting schedules, and insurance audits.</li><li>Process payroll and manage payroll tax deposits.</li><li>Prepare and file quarterly and annual payroll reports.</li><li>Communicate with the clients and vendors to gather information and follow up on outstanding items.</li><li>Coordinate with tax preparers to ensure timely and accurate tax filings.</li><li>Assist with various client requests and financial reporting needs.</li><li>Provide general office support, including greeting clients and answering phones, as needed.</li></ul>Qualifications<ul><li>Four-year degree or equivalent work experience.</li><li>Strong written and verbal communication skills.</li><li>Solid analytical and problem-solving abilities.</li><li>Organized, deadline-driven, and able to manage competing priorities.</li><li>Team-oriented with a positive and proactive &ldquo;pitch-in&rdquo; attitude.</li><li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office.</li><li>Experience with QuickBooks is preferred, but not required.</li><li>This is a 100% in-office position.
