<div>Reporting into Head of Pre-Prep, we are seeking an outstanding, committed and energetic Teaching and Learning Assistant (EL2) to join King&rsquo;s School The Crown. The candidate must be a team player and must have a passion to achieve the highest levels of learning and a culture of excellence for themselves and their students.</div><div></div><div><b><br>
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:</b></div><div></div><div><br>
<ul><li>
Assist pupils to become better learners.<br>
</li><li>
Support pupils to overcome barriers to learning so they are able to work independently and in the company of other pupils.<br>
</li><li>
Develop a mutually supportive relationship with the teaching staff to help pupils again access to the curriculum by differentiating instructions and resources.<br>
</li><li>
Support the delivery of the enhanced curriculum offered by the school.<br>
</li><li>
Undertake the relevant training to enhance personal development and use the knowledge to benefit the school and its pupils.<br>
</li><li>
Be aware of the teacher&rsquo;s weekly planning and be ready to assist with lesson preparation by preparing resources.<br>
</li><li>
Display pupils&rsquo; work as requested and remove when necessary.<br>
</li><li>
Assist with the supervision of snack and lunch times.<br>
</li><li>
Supervise pupils in the communal areas to ensure a high standard of behaviour is maintained.<br>
</li><li>
Carry out allocated playground, lunchtime and after-school duties as agreed.<br>
</li><li>
Escort children to and from the school buses at the start and end of day except where other duties, as agreed by the Head of Primary, prevent this.<br>
</li><li>
Provide duty-cover for absent colleagues when requested to do so by a line manager.<br>
</li><li>
Refer comments, questions and complaints from parents directly to the class teacher.<br>
</li><li>
Support pupils during lessons as directed by the class teacher.</li></ul></div><div></div><div><b><br>
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:</b></div><div></div><div><br>
<ul><li>
Bachelor&rsquo;s degree or relevant higher-level qualification or vocational training which can be practically applied to supporting pupil development.<br>
</li><li>
Minimum 3 years&rsquo; teaching and learning support experience in Education sector.<br>
</li><li>
Clear and effective communications skills, both verbal and written, with a confident and positive manner.<br>
</li><li>
A demonstrable passion for the profession.<br>
</li><li>
Confident, presentable, articulate and dynamic personality.<br>
</li><li>
Strong organizational and interpersonal skills<br>
</li><li>
A positive attitude to change<br>
</li><li>
A continuous improvement mindset.<br>

Pupils in the Early Years are given the best possible start to their education with a curriculum derived from the UK and the Early Years Foundation Stage with a teaching ethos inspired by Reggio Emilio in Italy. At its heart is an experiential learning journey that prepares pupils&rsquo; bodies and minds as they move into our Primary school. As part of a 'through-school', the youngest pupils in the school have access to the full range of facilities, including play space, swimming pools, sports hall and more.</p>

Primary School &ndash; Reception to Year 6</b></p>

The Primary School is a vibrant, lively community, with a broad curriculum where children are given space, countless opportunities and support to grow in confidence and discover their individual talents.
