Job Title: Senior Manager &ndash; Legal (Criminal, Civil, Litigation &amp; Compliance)Experience: 8&ndash;15 years Location: Powai Department: Legal &amp; ComplianceJob SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Senior Manager &ndash; Legal to handle criminal and civil matters, manage litigation across forums, and ensure statutory and regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate will have strong courtroom exposure, excellent drafting skills, and the ability to work closely with law-enforcement agencies, external counsel, and internal stakeholders.1. Criminal Legal Matters<ul><li>Lead and advise on all criminal litigation cases involving the company.</li><li>Draft and review complaints, responses, affidavits, notices, and other criminal law documents.</li><li>Represent the company before police authorities, investigation officers, and statutory bodies.</li><li>Support internal teams during investigations, raids, seizures, or regulatory inquiries.</li><li>Coordinate with external law firms/counsels for criminal case strategy and execution.</li><li>Ensure proper documentation and evidence management for all criminal cases.</li></ul>2. Civil &amp; General Litigation<ul><li>Manage and oversee all civil disputes and litigation before various courts, tribunals, and authorities.</li><li>Draft and vet pleadings, written statements, rejoinders, legal notices, and civil case documentation.</li><li>Handle matters related to contracts, recoveries, property disputes, injunctions, arbitration, and commercial litigation.</li><li>Strategize legal positions, prepare case briefs, and manage external counsel for civil and commercial matters.</li><li>Ensure effective follow-up of all cases to safeguard the organization&rsquo;s interests.</li><li>Maintain litigation MIS and ensure timely reporting of case progress to leadership.</li></ul>3. Compliance &amp; Regulatory<ul><li>Oversee end-to-end compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements applicable to the business.</li><li>Develop, implement, and monitor compliance policies, SOPs, and internal controls.</li><li>Conduct periodic compliance audits and organizational risk assessments.</li><li>Support internal investigations related to fraud, misconduct, or policy violations.</li><li>Ensure timely filings, regulatory updates, and adherence to legal frameworks across departments.</li></ul>4. Advisory &amp; Risk Management<ul><li>Provide legal advisory to senior management on risk exposure, litigation impact, and legal implications.</li><li>Review internal processes and contracts to reduce legal and operational risks.</li><li>Advise on data protection, anti-bribery provisions, POSH, and ethical governance frameworks.</li><li>Conduct awareness programs and trainings for employees on legal risks and compliance protocols.</li></ul>5. Government &amp; Stakeholder Management<ul><li>Interface with law-enforcement agencies, regulatory bodies, and government authorities.</li><li>Manage relationships with external counsels, auditors, and compliance partners.</li><li>Communicate litigation updates, risks, and strategic recommendations to senior leadership.</li></ul>Skills &amp; CompetenciesTechnical Skills<ul><li>Strong expertise in criminal law, civil law, and general litigation management.</li><li>Thorough understanding of commercial laws, company law, labor law, IT Act, and regulatory frameworks.</li><li>Skilled in legal drafting, negotiation, and courtroom strategy.</li><li>Experience managing compliance programs and internal investigations.</li></ul>Behavioral Skills<ul><li>High integrity and strong ethical foundation.</li><li>Excellent communication, articulation, and stakeholder management skills.</li><li>Ability to work under pressure on sensitive and time-bound matters.</li><li>Strong leadership and team management capabilities.</li></ul>Educational Qualification<ul><li>LL.B. from a reputed law school (LL.M. preferred).</li></ul>Work Experience<ul><li>8&ndash;15 years of experience in criminal &amp; civil litigation, corporate legal advisory, and compliance roles.</li><li>Exposure to working with courts, tribunals, law-enforcement agencies, and external counsel.</li></ul>Job Type: Full-timePay: &#8377;1,500,000.82 - &#8377;2,024,097.69 per yearWork Location: In person

Role Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Legal Intern to support our legal team in research, drafting, documentation, and compliance-related tasks. This role is ideal for law students or fresh graduates who want hands-on exposure to litigation, corporate law, legal compliance, and real-world legal processes.Key Responsibilities- 1. Legal Research Conduct research on case laws, statutes, regulations, and legal precedents. Prepare research notes and summaries for ongoing matters. 2. Drafting &amp; Documentation Assist in drafting and reviewing legal documents such as: Notices Agreements and contracts Affidavits Petitions and applications Legal opinions Organize, index, and maintain case files and documentation. 3. Court &amp; Client Assistance (Applicable if the internship includes litigation exposure) Attend court hearings, client meetings, and conferences when required. Prepare briefs, case summaries, and hearing notes. 4. Compliance &amp; Administrative Support Support legal team in filing and maintaining legal records. Assist with GST, company law, or tax compliance documentation (if corporate role). Maintain internal legal databases, trackers, and deadlines. 5. Coordination Interact with clients, associates, and internal teams for data collection and document follow-up. Assist senior lawyers or associates in daily tasks.Required Skills- Strong research and analytical ability. Good understanding of legal principles and current laws. Proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel, and email drafting. Excellent written and verbal communication. Ability to maintain confidentiality and accuracy.Qualifications- Pursuing or completed LLB / BA LLB from a recognized institution. Basic knowledge of civil, criminal, corporate, or taxation law (depending on the organization).
