Tuknik Government Services, a Koniag Government Services company, is seeking a CICS Systems Administrator to support TGS and our government customer in Baltimore, MD. This position requires the candidate to be able to obtain a Public Trust.

 Essential Functions, Responsibilities & Duties may include, but are not limited to:
 As a CICS Systems Administrator, you will provide systems programming support to administer, customize, and troubleshoot the CICS architecture by developing, modifying, and installing CICS systems software and application software. You will also provide support during agency disaster recovery exercises. You will:
 <ul>
<li>Analyze high-level requirements and develop detailed design documents.</li>
<li>Develop and manage CICS systems-level and application software using Common Business Oriented Language (COBOL), Assembler Language Code (ALC), or Java.</li>
<li>Meet with customer analysts, management, and end-users to develop requirements.</li>
<li>Develop comprehensive test plans to ensure validation of functional requirements.</li>
<li>Perform life cycle management and coordination of software changes across the customer’s Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC).</li>
<li>Develop and manage documentation stored on SharePoint for CICS systems and application software.</li>
<li>Identify and eliminate “Single Points of Failure” within CICS.</li>
<li>Create new CICS regions and establish appropriate Resource Definition Online (RDO) definitions, in support of application requirements for Integration, Training, Acceptance, and Production life cycles in accordance with CICS region build standards, furnished by the task manager.</li>
<li>Modify CICS architecture to eliminate Single Points of Failure within CICS.</li>
<li>Process Job Control Language (JCL) and RDO modifications from service requests assigned by the task manager.</li>
<li>Prepare appropriate change management documentation and procedures based on samples furnished by the task manager.</li>
<li>Update appropriate CICS configuration documentation to reflect changes to the architecture.</li>
<li>Communicate and work with application developers and customer testers to ensure all CICS resources (e.g., Files, Programs, Transactions, DB2, IDMS) are identified and defined appropriately.</li>
<li>Develop and implement capabilities to monitor the CICS production environment for problems and generate automated alerts to appropriate customer personnel, identified by the task manager.</li>
<li>Provide 24/7 support to resolve CICS related problems, as they occur; respond within 30 minutes of receiving the page.</li>
<li>Provide technical expertise on CICS application and configuration related issues, 40 hours per week, via laptop workstation.</li>
<li>Troubleshoot CICS systems and application problems and facilitate the necessary actions required to correct the problem.</li>
<li>Communicate with designated customer personnel (the task manager will provide list of personnel) by phone and email concerning the details of the issue, expected resolution, and root cause analysis.</li>
<li>Support efforts to restore processing during a disaster recovery exercise or an actual disaster at multiple client sites.</li>
</ul>
Qualifications: 
<ul>
<li>Ten (10) years’ CICS system programming or related continued experience.</li>
<li>Demonstrated expertise in a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures.</li>
<li>Extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.</li>
<li>Ability to perform a variety of complicated tasks.</li>
<li>Ability to provide consultation on complex projects and be considered the senior contributor/specialist.</li>
</ul>
Education: 
<ul>
<li>Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university with a major in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or other related scientific or technical discipline.</li>
<li>Master’s Degree is preferred.</li>
</ul>

CICS Systems Administrator

Koniag Services, Inc. (KSI) is seeking a skilled UX Designer to join our innovative team. This senior-level position plays a crucial role in creating exceptional user experiences for our software solutions, particularly those supporting our federal government clients.  The UX Designer will lead the user-centered design process and is responsible for researching, designing, and optimizing digital experiences that are accessible, intuitive, and aligned with federal requirements and stakeholder needs. This role involves understanding user needs, designing intuitive interfaces, and continuously improving the user experience. Key responsibilities include:

<li>Participating as a senior technical expert in the design, development, and enhancement of software interfaces</li>
<li>Working with technical staff to understand problems with software and developing specifications to resolve them</li>
<li>Develops personas, user journeys, and workflow diagrams that inform product requirements and design priorities.</li>
<li>Creating user-centered designs by understanding business requirements, user feedback, and usability findings</li>
<li>Develops wireframes, prototypes, mockups, and high-fidelity visual designs for new features and platform enhancements.</li>
<li>Conducting user research and evaluating user feedback to inform design decisions</li>
<li>Resolving customer complaints and responding to suggestions for improvements and enhancements</li>
<li>Ensures all designs are accessible, inclusive, and compliant with Section 508/WCAG standards.</li>
<li>Collaborates with front-end developers, software engineers, and product managers to translate design concepts into functional user interfaces.</li>
<li>Advocates for best practices in UX/UI and champion a user-focused culture within the team.</li>
<li>Participating in the development of software user manuals and documentation</li>
<li>Leading design efforts on less complex projects and mentoring junior design staff</li>

Education and Experience:Required: 
<ul>
<li>Bachelor's degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Interaction Design, Graphic Design, or related field</li>
<li>8+ years of professional experience in UX/UI design</li>
<li>Demonstrated experience designing complex software applications</li>
<li>Experience with user research and usability testing methodologies, user-centered design, interface development, and translating complex requirements into intuitive user experiences.</li>
</ul>
Required Skills and Competencies:

<li>Advanced proficiency in UX research methodologies, wireframing, prototyping, and design tools (e.g., Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch).</li>
