All employees are expected to uphold organizational values and adhere to all applicable healthcare regulations and policies.POSITION SUMMARY:The Benefits Administrator is a part-time position responsible for the administration and coordination of employee benefits programs across a multi-site dermatology practice. This role ensures accurate and compliant management of benefits offerings, supports employee education and engagement, and servers as a primary resource for benefits-related inquiries. In addition, this position will provide coverage for Human Resources functions during planned absences, such as vacations. The role requires strong attention to detail, knowledge of healthcare regulations, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.PRINCIPAL DUTIES &amp; RESPONSIBILITES:&middot; Administer employee benefits programs, including medical, dental, vision, retirement, disability, and workers&rsquo; compensation plans&middot; Manage benefits enrollment processes, including new hire onboarding, open enrollment, and qualifying life events&middot; Serve as the primary point of contact for employee benefits questions, providing clear and timely guidance&middot; Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations, including HIPAA, ACA, COBRA, and Medicare requirements&middot; Maintain accurate benefits records and documentation within HRIS and payroll systems&middot; Coordinate with insurance carriers and third-party vendors to resolve claims issues, eligibility discrepancies, and coverage questions&middot; Support payroll by ensuring accurate integration of benefits deductions and updates&middot; Conduct regular audits of benefits and HRIS data to ensure accuracy and compliance&middot; Prepare reports related to benefits utilization, enrollment trends, and compliance metrics&middot; Assist in the development and communication of benefits materials, policies, and employee education resourcesOther Essential Duties May Include (but are not limited to:&middot; Provide Human Resources coverage during planned absences, including support with employee inquiries, onboarding coordination and basic HR functions&middot; Support onboarding and orientation processes related to benefits education&middot; Assist with leave of absence administration, including FMLA and short-term disability coordination&middot; Participation in process improvement initiatives to enhance benefits administration efficiency&middot; Maintain confidentiality of all employee information in compliance with HIPAA and organizational standards&middot; Collaborate with leadership and HR team members on employee engagement and retention initiatives&middot; Perform other duties as assignedKnowledge, Skills &amp; Abilities Required:&middot; Strong understanding of employee benefits administration and applicable healthcare regulations (HIPAA, ACA, COBRA, Medicare)&middot; Proficiency in HRIS and payroll systems&middot; Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail and accuracy&middot; Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment&middot; Strong analytical skills to interpret benefits data and generate reports&middot; Effective communication skills for employee interaction, education, and vendor coordination&middot; Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive employee information&middot; Knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices related to benefitsEducation:&middot; Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred&middot; Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in benefits administration or human resources required&middot; Experience in a healthcare or multi-site organization strongly preferred&middot; Experience with HRIS and payroll systems required&middot; Relevant certifications (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR, CEBS) are a plusWorking Conditions:Primarily works in an office setting within a medical practice environment, requiring prolonged computer use, frequent interaction with staff, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, multi-location healthcare setting.Physical, Mental, and Environmental Conditions of the Essential Duties of the Position:To comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 (ADA), which prohibits discrimination against qualified individuals on the basis of disability, it is necessary to specify the physical, mental and environmental conditions of the Essential Duties of the job.
