Responsibilities<ul><li>Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup</li><li>Conduct initial patient assessments by reviewing medical histories and vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and respiration rates</li><li>Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques to optimize workflow</li><li>Take and develop dental radiographs (medical imaging) while adhering to strict infection control protocols</li><li>Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques, including brushing, flossing, and other preventive care strategies</li><li>Review and update medical records accurately within electronic medical record (EMR) systems like Eaglesoft or Dentrix</li><li>Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations by safeguarding patient information and maintaining confidentiality at all times</li></ul>Skills<ul><li>Proficiency in dental software systems such as Eaglesoft and Dentrix for scheduling, documentation, and record management</li><li>Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control procedures, and aseptic techniques</li><li>Experience with pediatric dentistry and pediatrics-focused patient care is highly desirable</li><li>Ability to perform chairside assisting efficiently while maintaining a friendly, professional demeanor</li><li>Familiarity with medical coding, documentation review, and medical terminology relevant to dental practice</li><li>Excellent patient care skills with a compassionate approach tailored to diverse patient needs</li><li>Knowledge of general dentistry procedures</li><li>Willingness to expand skills with state of the art techniques</li></ul>Join us to make a difference in patients&rsquo; lives through compassionate care, technical excellence, and a vibrant team environment.
