Job OverviewJoin our dynamic team as a Kumon Team Lead, where you will play a vital role in fostering a positive, structured learning environment. This part-time position offers an exciting opportunity to lead by example, inspire young learners, and collaborate with dedicated staff to deliver exceptional educational support. Your enthusiasm, strong communication skills, and passion for education will help create a nurturing space where children can thrive academically and develop lifelong independent study skills.Please note: This is not a temporary summer position. We are looking for dedicated team members who are committed to continuing with us into the Fall semester and beyond.Key Responsibilities<ul><li>Student Mentorship: Work directly with children (ranging from early childhood/preschool to older students) to help them advance their abilities in Math and English.</li><li>Classroom Management: Maintain a quiet, structured, and focused center environment conducive to independent learning.</li><li>Progress Tracking &amp; Grading: Accurately grade in-class and take-home assignments, and assist with basic center data processing.</li><li>Instructional Observation: Observe student habits, answer basic questions, and guide them to figure out solutions independently using Kumon examples.</li><li>Collaboration: Communicate effectively with the Center Director, staff, and parents regarding student progress, achievements, and areas for improvement.</li></ul>What We Are Looking For (Skills &amp; Qualifications)<ul><li>Academic Strength: Excellent reading, writing, and math skills are required.</li><li>Effective Communicator: Strong verbal and written skills to engage positively with students, parents, and team members.</li><li>Quick Learner: Ability to grasp the Kumon method quickly and adapt to a fast-paced environment.</li><li>Child-Centric Focus: A genuine love for working with children, including early childhood and preschool-aged learners.</li><li>Core Attributes: Patient, friendly, detail-oriented, reliable, and able to multi-task efficiently.</li><li>Prior experience in tutoring, childcare, or educational settings is a plus, but a passion for mentorship and growth is essential.</li></ul>Schedule &amp; Benefits<ul><li>Hours: Monday through Friday, 1:30 PM &ndash; 6:30 PM (In-person)</li><li>Benefits: 401(k) retirement plan and a flexible schedule within center hours.</li></ul>How to ApplyIf you are an energetic individual committed to building confidence in every child, we want to hear from you!To Apply:<ul><li>Reply directly to this posting with your resume and a brief summary of your qualifications.</li><li>Alternatively: email your resume to zimarsh@ikumon.com, text to (858)699-5367 for any questions.</li></ul>Pay: $21.00 - $25.00 per hourBenefits:<ul><li>401(k)</li></ul>Work Location: In person
