Join our dynamic team as a Kumon Team Lead, where you will play a vital role in fostering a positive, structured learning environment. Please note: This is not a temporary summer position. We are looking for dedicated team members who are committed to continuing with us into the Fall semester and beyond.
Key Responsibilities
- Student Mentorship: Work directly with children (ranging from early childhood/preschool to older students) to help them advance their abilities in Math and English.
- Classroom Management: Maintain a quiet, structured, and focused center environment conducive to independent learning.
- Progress Tracking & Grading: Accurately grade in-class and take-home assignments, and assist with basic center data processing.
- Instructional Observation: Observe student habits, answer basic questions, and guide them to figure out solutions independently using Kumon examples.
- Collaboration: Communicate effectively with the Center Director, staff, and parents regarding student progress, achievements, and areas for improvement.
What We Are Looking For (Skills & Qualifications)
- Academic Strength: Excellent reading, writing, and math skills are required.
- Effective Communicator: Strong verbal and written skills to engage positively with students, parents, and team members.
- Quick Learner: Ability to grasp the Kumon method quickly and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
- Child-Centric Focus: A genuine love for working with children, including early childhood and preschool-aged learners.
- Core Attributes: Patient, friendly, detail-oriented, reliable, and able to multi-task efficiently.
- Prior experience in tutoring, childcare, or educational settings is a plus, but a passion for mentorship and growth is essential.
Schedule & Benefits
- Hours: Monday through Friday, 1:30 PM – 6:30 PM (In-person)
