LJ's Cafe

This position will require AVAILABILITY Friday-Sunday until noon. Shifts to be determined based on business needs, current operating hours are planned for Monday-Thursday 6-2, Friday-Sunday 6-11. Applicants must be 21+ due to location of operation.Position is eligible for the tip pool.Position Overview:The Barista is responsible for preparing espresso drinks quickly and accurately, providing exceptional customer service, and maintaining a clean and organized caf&eacute; space. Because most shifts may be solo, this role requires strong time management, accountability, and attention to detail. This position is eligible for our tip pool.LJ&rsquo;s Corner Cafe is a brand-new concept, flexibility and adaptability are essential. Systems, schedules, and processes may evolve as we grow, and we&rsquo;re looking for someone excited to grow with us.Core Responsibilities<ul><li>Prepare espresso drinks and other beverages to LJ&rsquo;s standards</li><li>Deliver friendly, engaging, and efficient customer service</li><li>Operate POS and handle cash/card transactions accurately</li><li>Maintain cleanliness of espresso machine, counters, lobby, and work areas</li><li>Restock supplies and monitor inventory levels</li><li>Open and/or close the caf&eacute; independently</li><li>Uphold quality, consistency, and brand standards</li><li>Report any issues to the Site Assistant Manager or General Manager.</li></ul>Qualifications:<ul><li>Previous barista experience required</li><li>Comfortable working independently for extended periods</li><li>Strong multitasking and time management skills</li><li>Excellent communication and customer service skills</li><li>Ability to remain calm and efficient during rushes</li></ul>Physical Requirements:<ul><li>Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 lbs</li><li>Comfortable working in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment</li></ul>Schedule:<ul><li>This is a part-time position, schedule may adjust as business needs evolve.</li><li>Shifts will range between 2-6 hours currently.</li></ul>LJ&rsquo;s Caf&eacute; is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.
